Newlyweds Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus made a date night out of their first public appearance as a married couple at the 16th annual G’Day USA Black Tie Gala last night which was held at 3Labs in Culver City, CA.

Liam told “Extra’s” Renee Bargh that “It’s all wonderful and I feel very lucky to be with [Miley].” About their ability to keep their wedding a secret, Liam explained, “It wasn’t hard — we have a small group of friends. It was mainly immediate family, a spur-of-the-moment kind of thing. I am very happy to be where I am.”

Saying married life is “the same but different,” he explained, “We’ve been together for the better part of 10 years.”
