Justin TImberlake Set To Host SNL For Fifth Time
Justin Timberlake will be the host and musical guest for the March 9th episode of Saturday Night Live. NBC announced the news today; this will be Timberlake’s fifth time hosting ‘SNL.’
The appearance is likely part of the promotional campaign for his first new album in seven years, “The 20/20 Experience.” Timberlake has burst back on to the music scene in the past few months, performing at the Grammy Awards, the BRIT Awards and releasing several singles, beginning with the Jay- Z collaboration “Suit & Tie.” The new album is Timberlake’s third studio album since embarking on his solo career and is scheduled for release on March 19th. Adam Levine: SNL Hosting Gig Debut!
In the “what took you so long” category, I’m happy to announce that sexy Adam Levine is making his Saturday Night Live hosting debut on Saturday, January 26.
The 33-year-old Maroon 5 frontman and “Voice” mentor will be joined by musical guest Kendrick Lamar. This will also be Lamar’s first time on the show’s famed stage.
Maroon 5 was a musical guest on SNL back in 2004 for the first time when Levine’s former “Voice” colleague Christina Aguilera hosted the show.
The band has since appeared on SNL several more times, in 2007, 2011 and 2012.
Andy Samberg Quits SNL
SNL suffers another big comedic loss moving forward. First, it was announced that Kristen Wiig was leaving the show. Now, it’s Andy Samberg who has confirmed long-standing rumors that he’s also exiting the iconic sketch show.
“It’s an incredibly emotional and strange moment in my life,” Samberg is quoted in The New York Times. “Obviously it’s not a huge shock, but I did officially decide not to come back.” Continue reading
