You had to pay $200 a ticket to hear our Commander Crooner in Chief President Obama speak sing at a fundraiser Thursday in New York, but it sounds like it would have been worth the price.

During the fundraising event at the Apollo Theater, the President broke into song with a few lines of Al Green’s Let’s Stay Together.

You know how the song goes…”I – I – I — I’m so in love with you…”  As Obama sang, the crowd erupted into jubilation. He then told Green who was in the audience: “Don’t worry, Rev. I cannot sing like you, I just wanted to show my appreciation.”

“Those guys thought I wouldn’t do it. I told you I was going to do it!” Obama yelled to his team offstage. “The Sandman did not come out!”
