Pasha and Melanie Moore danced the most elegant and beautiful Viennese Waltz I have ever seen on the So You Think You Can Dance July 20, 2011 episode.
Jason Gilkison choreographed this story about a guy who has lost his will to live but is nurtured by his friend and rock, danced by Melanie.
The duo performed the number against Everybody Hurts by Tina Arena.
Mary Murphy was jealous that Melanie danced with Pasha and told her she looked like she floated on stage. Mary said she does not know how Melanie achieves the timing of her lifts and put her at top of the leader board.
Nigel Lythgoe said it was a masterclass in lifting. He called her a solid, absolutely brilliant dancer.
Neil Patrick Harris called the dance effortlessly perfect. He said she looks like she is from the past, the 30’s, but dances like she is from the future. As Melanie’s mom cried in the audience, Neil called her his favorite dancer.
