If you live in LA and are looking for an amazing trainer, look no further than Marco Reed.
I had been wanting to work out for months with the man who muscles up the American Idols but was afraid he’d kick my coach-potato ass. But I finally gave in and met up with Marco on a sunny morn in a park and he worked me through his series of exercises affectionately called ‘boot camp’.
Now, if you want me to tell you that Marco took it easy on me, think again. Marco did kick my ass. But I tell you, it was the best ass kicking that my out of shape body needed. And he did it with encouragement, tough love, singing, word games, and meditation. Marco did the impossible: he made me get excited about working out for the first time in years. Just wait till you see me in a couple of months on his workout regimen.
Marco is not your ordinary celebrity trainer. He has cut a wide swath of influence in
the personal training field. Whether it’s taking an American Idol from stage
to tour mode, customizing workouts for successful seniors, or prepping
dancers for international Gold Medal wins, his hybrid exercise regimen
gets fast results.
Reed has turned the industry on its head by utilizing a strategic mix of multiple formats and combining that traditional profile into innovative whole body applications. One-on-one training or group boot camp style workouts incorporate functional/circuit training, kick boxing, resistance work, dancing, stretching and simple meditation which are augmented by a strong knowledge of nutrition. His charismatic, thoughtful presence combined with his fitness expertise creates the cornerstone of his philosophy: movement, thought, connection and stillness.
