The Real Housewives of Atlanta 2/10 Recap: “Prayed Up”

Sunday night’s episode of THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA (February 10, 2013) called “Prayed Up” was as long and dry as a hotlanta summer day. Most of the ladies weren’t doing much. NeNe was on camera for a second trying to get cell phone reception in the Hollywood Hills. Kandi decided to record a gospel album and Phaedra is still preparing for her “donkey booty” video. Below is a full recap of RHOA episode called ‘Prayed Up’.

Kenya had a breast cancer scare, she had to have several biopsies done, but not to worry she is cancer free and still “gone with the wind fabulous.”

With Kenya out of commission for the evening it was up to Porsha to bring the drama-unfortunately, she probably can’t even spell drama, let alone bring it. Porsha is preparing to throw her husband Kordell a “Harlem Nights” themed 40th birthday party. By “preparing to throw” I mean she hired a party planner to do all of the work while she tries on dresses for the party. Picking the perfect dress is essential because “Kordell “loves quality, so the dress has to be good quality and he is very particular about what I wear-“Kordell loves to dress me! I’m his Barbie doll!” After watching tonight’s episode it appears that he treats her more like a child than a doll. Fellow ATL housewife NeNe Leakes seems to agree. Although we only saw her once in last night’s episode, Leakes was definitely tuning in last night- she tweeted “Somebody is really sounding controlling!

Damnnnnnnn,”

Not only does Porsha act like a child, she also speaks like a 4th grader. When describing her body she said that her waistline is small in “comportion” to her hips. She also was “peterred” at Cynthia’s behavior after their drama at the Bailey Agency. For those of you who speak and understand English at an adult level I think she was trying to say “proportion” and “perturbed.”

Why was Porsha so “peterred?” Cynthia and Porsha were scheduled to meet about
Cynthia’s upcoming pageant since Porsha is helping with the planning and her family’s charity is involved with the event. The ladies were going to meet at Porsha’s house, but when Cynthia told her she would be bringing her assistants at the Bailey Agency, AKA “the Bailey boys” Porsha had a change of heart. They could no longer meet at her home, why you ask…because her husband is not at home and she is not allowed to have strangers in the house when he is not there. Yes, little Porsha lives by the same rules I did when I was 12 years old and home alone during the summer with my sister- no strangers in the house when mom and dad aren’t home. The “Bailey boys” took offense to being called strangers and not being invited to her home so they threw a little shade at Ms. Porsha. Cynthia later meets with Porsha and tells her that she does not think that it is a good idea for them to work together. Cynthia has no clue how to plan this event herself
so she can’t carry the burden of another poor, clueless soul. Side note: In the previews next week we see scenes from the pageant and it looks a hot mess. Cynthia tells Porsha she is on a tight deadline with the pageant and still has not received any of the items she asked Porsha for, so she fires her from her unpaid position as volunteer. What’s poor “peterred” Porsha to do? Of course, she went running home to daddy…oops I mean her husband to talk it out.

Porsha tried to discuss the situation with her husband, but he must have been annoyed or bored with her story because he interrupted her halfway through her retelling of her saga and advised her on how to handle the situation via a series meaningless and nonsensical sports metaphors telling her to “check it” and “handle your business.” Porsha, nodded eagerly and agreed to take her husband/father’s advice.

The night of Kordell’s 40th birthday bash arrives and Cynthia and her husband Peter attend party. Kenya’s ex-boyfriend, Walter was also there! Turns out, Walter is still tight with the househusbands and has an open invitation to all of the men’s events. Obviously, given Porsha and Kenya’s history, (the last time they spoke Kenya called Porsha dumb as rocks and Porsha called her ashy) Kenya was not invited.

Kordell took it upon himself to intervene in the dispute between his wife and Cynthia. He spouted more nonsense, “You two disgust me! You’re my favorite people!” In the end the ladies buried the hatchet and enjoyed the evening together.
