Kevin Smith has finally completed a script for Clerks III. Smith announced the news by posting this photo of the finished manuscript with a clapboard used on the original Clerks film on his social media accounts.
“IT IS ACCOMPLISHED! CLERKS III, FIRST DRAFT! At 137 pages, it plays like THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK of what’s now become the Clerks Trilogy,” Smith captioned the photo.
Smith began writing on March 8–boldly stating at that time: “I have come to a conclusion… CLERKS III will be the best film I’ll ever make.” We hope so since he plans on retiring from film making after this one.
The original Clerks was released in 1994 and is now a cult classic. Its sequel, Clerks II, came out in 2006.
