Snooki’s Hamster Act Has Been Banned In New York

Looks like MTV had jumped the gun when it announced last week that Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was going to be inside the ball that drops in New York’s Times Square to ring in 2011.

Sadly, Snooki’s hamster act has been booted out of NYC by the powers to be. BUT do not fret my guidette lovers; Snooki’s New Year’s Eve human hamster ball has been relocated to the Jersey shore – where it truly belongs.

On Wednesday, Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment who organize the New Year’s festivities and ball drop in New York released a statement saying:

“It was never intended or requested for Snooki to be in the actual New Year’s Eve Ball in Times Square. The request to have her in a separate ball on a set-back roof came too late and was too impractical to fit in to our outdoor events.”

What does Snooki say about all this? She Tweeted today: “Don’t worry, I’m still gonna be your fricken’ NYE hamster ina ball…I wish NYC would focus on digging out …”

Snooki also Tweeted the above photo of her boyfriend with the caption,” Guido’d out Jionni 🙂 Mmmm.” So, I don’t think she is too phased or rattled by the change.
