Dancing With the Stars airs its ninth and semi-finals performance show of Season 14 tonight, May 14, 2012. Only four couples remain fighting for the mirrorball trophy. On last week’s episode we had to say goodbye to two couples, Roshon and Chelsie and Melissa and Maks. If you missed any of last week’s performances you can see them all HERE!
Donald Driver blogged at JSOnline that his practices with Peta this week have been the toughest ones of the year. Mark plans on getting Katherine sassy and sexyified tonight on her Quickstep and Salsa routines. William & Cheryl topped the leaderboard last week after getting a perfect score of 30. Will they be able to keep up the momentum? Maria has got some nasty bruises and even walking around with a walking boot [click here for photos]. Even worse, Derek just blew out his back yesterday [Click here for an update on Derek’s injury]. Will they be able to get past the injuries and dance their Jive and Argentine Tango routines tonight?

Judges’ comments:
Len said this is the most excited he’s been since his mom put him in long trousers.
Bruno called William the dictator of the tango and said the dance was an ace!
Carrie Ann said “last week you definitely proved to everyone you are more than a pretty face.” She said William’s lines are perfect and he is beautiful. She said almost everything was amazing but there was one tiny mistake.

Bruno said he is going to die with “bum envy” and that they set the place on fire.
Carrie Ann said William lived up to every expectation. She added his bounce and wiggle were more like a thrust and it was really amazing.
Len said he has never looked at a man’s bum for so long in his life. He also called William’s rhythm fantastic.

Bruno: “WOW! Fantastic! The best example of the 20′s razzle dazzle.”
Carie Ann said one needs to bring their A game to get to the finals and does not think Katherine brought that….”You brought your A+ game!! That might be the best dance I ever seen on DWTS.” Len: “I knew you could sing, but Katherine you can dance.: Len did say there was a minor foot error and even apologized for bringing it up since it was such a fabulous number.

Second Dance: Samba to Akon’s Belly Dancer. Katherine hurt her back at the end of the dance and kept apologizing while Mark kept saying, “I’ve got you!”
Judges’ comments:
Carrie Ann said their dance was fantastic. She said Katherine let loose and she’s pushing her boundaries. She also said she was sorry Katherine had the wobble in the beginning and said she must have been hanging out with Beyonce over the weekend.
Len said Katherine came out and gave it 100%. “As you danced I wrote Catherine the Great, the world’s wonder woman.”
Bruno said for Katherine not to beat herself up or worry about the misstep because it can happen to anybody. He said the dance was wonderful.

Carrie Anne called it dreamy. She said Donald brought the emotion back as opposed to last week. “Unfortunately there were a few times when your feet missed it. It was beautiful and I loved it and it was still a mesmerizing dance.”
Len said he was brought back to a different era while watching Donald and Peta dance: An era of elegance and grace. “I would’ve liked to see your head a little more lifted it up.”
Bruno: “Donald it is much harder to impress with the waltz that it is with the tango or a quickstep but you did just that.” Bruno said Donald has a gentle soft quality to his dancing. “You are extremely light on your feet and you extended your lines better tonight. I thought you did a fantastic job tonight. I am very impressed.”

Len said the dance was a little bit safe, but he liked it.

Len said he was totally caught up in the dance and it was fabulous!
Bruno called it enticing and titillating. It was “caresses…leading up to expectations beyond my wildest dreams.” He also called it fabulous.
Carrie Ann: “I remember when you first started Maria…The transformation you have undergone.. is incredibly beautiful.” She loved it and said Maria has ridiculous lines. She also called it fabulous!

Len said he liked the footwork and the rhythm of the whole dance. Said it wasn’t a traditional Jive, but it felt great with the music. He also said Maria had a little bit of a stumble.
