The Biggest Loser aired its 5th episode of the 13th season January 31, 2012 and below is a live minute by minute real time recap of the show.

Adrian and Daphne who were the brother/sister team sent home the first week have come back after 30 days to see if the two of them have lost 50 lbs in the first month of competition. Tonight, they will be weighed and if they have, they can come back on the ranch.

Daphne goes on the scale first. Her starting weight was 271 lbs and her current weight is 245 lbs for a total of 26 pounds lost.  Adrian first weighed in at 370 but his current weight is 336 for a total loss of 34 lbs. They make it on the ranch but will be separated. The both choose Bob as their trainer. Since they have to be on separate teams, they do a game of rock/paper/scissors and Daphne wins Bob. Adrian gets Dolvette and is now on the red team.

Adrian and Daphne get immunity this week as long as they don’t put on any extra weight. But their weight will still count towards their team’s total.

In the gym, Dolvett decides to get the red team to cross monkey bars. The only person that can complete the task is Adrian.

Bob gives the black team their homework and Daphne finds it difficult and leaves. Later that day Adrian finds Daphne and tells her that he felt they worked harder when they were at home.

TODAY’S CHALLENGE
The two teams arrive at the beach. For today’s challenge, the teams have to bounce medicine balls on a trampoline and get them over a wall. The winning team will select one person from each team whose weight will not count. Roy and Chism have to sit out on the challenge because they have not been medically cleared. The red team sits out Nancy because they still have one extra player.

The Red Team wins the challenge. During the weigh in, the red team will choose one member of the red team and black team who will not count towards the weigh-in.

The red team meets and most members feel that Conda and Kim are being territorial.  Nancy starts the meeting saying they are all adults and if there is a problem, they must all discuss it in the open and stop any gossiping. Nancy tells Conda that she is fed up hearing her complain about Adrian. Adrian asks Conda what the problem is because she does not even know him. Conda says Adrian said that the rest of the team has to step it up. Kim tells him that it’s because he was bragging about working out 14 hours.

Adrian tells Kim that they worked really hard when they were at home. Nancy says instead of talking, he should listen and Adrian gets offended.

Dolvett calls a red team meeting and asks them to tell him what is going on. Kim tells Dolvett that are having a hard time with having Adrian added to the team.  Dolvett says the team must open up if they are to work together well. Adrian realizes some of his teammates are snakes and says, ‘All is forgive, but not forgotten.’

The Black Team wins the weigh-in and they will all be here for another week. On the red team Mark makes his case to stay. Joe tells the team he wants to be on the ranch and he needs to be on the ranch. Adrian wants to talk to the group. He says that he apologizes to the team and if they saw anything that he could more the team should tell him. Mark tells Adrian that he feels he was playing a game this week because he lost only 2 lbs and his sister lost only 1 lb. Adrian is pissed off!
