The awards ceremony, celebrating its 22nd anniversary as the official launch of the awards season, was hosted by actress and comedian Awkwafina, and took place at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. In its 22-year history, more than 320 of the world’s biggest stars and filmmakers have been highlighted at the “Hollywood Film Awards” and more than 130 of the honorees have gone on to garner Oscar nominations and/or wins.

This annual event celebrates Habitat LA’s counterparts in the building and real estate industry as well as partners and donors who are helping transform the landscape of Los Angeles. At this year’s event, actress and singer, Holly Robinson Peete was honored with the Dream Builder Award for her commitment to helping those in need through the HollyRod Foundation. HollyRod provides compassionate care and services to underserved individuals and families that are financially and emotionally affected by autism and Parkinson’s disease.
