Friends of LA Animal Shelters is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the helping of animals in LA shelters. The organization raises awareness about our large city shelter system (amazingly unfamiliar even to many animal lovers) and promotes the fantastic dogs, cats and other animals who temporarily call our city shelters home. FLAAS works to break down barriers to adoption which impacts our city’s homeless pets. FLAAS is a volunteer-run organization that funds life-saving surgeries and special projects for orphaned animals.
