Saw 3D Is #1 at The Box Office: Tobin Bell, AKA Jigsaw, Makes Rare Appearance! EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS & VIDEO

CELEBRITY ENCOUNTER.

We love our horror movies – especially on Halloween. The latest installment of Saw in 3D was the number one movie at the box office this weekend, raking in an estimated $24 million.

This of course should come as no surprise as the Guiness Book of World Records recently dubbed the Saw series as “Most Successful Horror Movie Series.”

The star and horror-torturer of the Saw series, Tobin Bell, made a rare public appearance today in honor of Halloween by meeting fans at The Burger Kitchen in west Hollywood. The Burger Kitchen is one of the newest restaurants on Third Street (8048 West Third St., at Crescent Heights) and owned by father-and-son team, Australian-born Alan and native-born Daniel Saffron, along with my friend, Alan’s wife, Genevieve.

For Halloween, The Burger Kitchen had a special Fright Bite menu with such delicacies as Death Burger, Torturers Revenge, and 20,000 Leagues Tentacles Burger (made of octopus meat).

I have to admit – being a fan of the Saw series, I was a little scared meeting the man who has done a tremendous job messing with my head and terrifying the crap out of me over the past seven years. But even though Tobin has quite the presence, he is actually quite the gentlemen.

I did ask Tobin if anyone has ever been scared when meeting him in person. He replied, “Oh no. Unless they’ve been alone with me in an elevator!”
