Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys Reach $108M Contract Extension Deal – Romo Highest Player in Cowboys History

NFL.com reports that Tony Romo is a Dallas Cowboy for life.

The Cowboys and Romo have reached a six-year, $108 million contract extension, making Romo the highest paid Cowboys player in history. Of the $108M, $55 million is guaranteed.

Tony Romo’s new deal averages between $17-$18 million per year, making his $108M deal more than what Joe Flacco received.

The Maloofs Are Selling The Sacramento Kings; Team Moving To Seattle

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports has confirmed, through Twitter, that the Maloof family is finalizing a deal to sell the Sacramento Kings to a Seattle-based group of investors for $500 million.

The purchasing group is seeking to relocate the franchise to Seattle’s Key Arena for the 2013-14 season until a new arena is built for the Kings.

The SI cover calls this the year of  Adrian Peterson. And it certainly is, both on and off the field. The current leader in the NFL for rushing yards, is also a leader on the charity front. Breaking News: Dallas Cowboys Player Arrested For Intoxicated Manslaughter Of Another Player

I swear, my Dallas Cowboys are cursed. I came upon a pretty depressing report a short while ago and am sadly passing it on to you.

It’s reported that Dallas Cowboys nose tackle Josh Brent was the driver in a fatal single car crash Saturday night in Irving. Brent was then arrested and charged with intoxicated manslaughter because the passenger in the car, recently signed LB Jerry Brown JR, died in the crash.  Continue reading

Sad news out of Kansas City this morning: Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher, 25, shot and killed his on-again-off-again girlfriend, Kasandra Perkins (the mother of his 3-month-old baby), in her home around 8 a.m. Belcher then drove to Arrowhead Stadium where he shot and killed himself (shot in the head) as two assistant coaches were trying to calm him down.
