This past Sunday, Katy Perry hosted an Easter Day “Recovery” Brunch at a private estate in Thermal, CA, produced by John Terzian’s The h.wood Group. The colorful daytime event featured an exclusive pop-up debuting the Katy Perry Footwear Collection. Guests including Mia Morretti, Adam Lambert, Johnny Wujeck (Creative Director for Katy Perry Collections) and Jean Watts re-fueled with vitamin elixirs, oxygen bars and reflexology massages, including a festive Easter egg hunt by Cover Girl with beats spun by Mia Moretti, Balthazar Getty & Bobby French filling the air in the background. Kelly Clarkson has had a fabulous time lately. The singer got engaged last year, sang at President Obama’s inauguration, totally live we might add, and now, has been named as Forbes’ top-earning American Idol contestant.

The magazine compiled earnings for all Idol alum from May 2011 to May 2012, and the original Idol champ came out on top for taking home $8 million.

Adam Lambert who knows a thing or two about singing, got in a bit of trouble when he offered his opinion over Twitter and criticized Tom Hooper’s musical movie adaptation, Les Misérables.

What Adam did is go off in a Twitter rant about the flick, saying it is “visually impressive w great Emotional performances. But the score suffered massively with great actors PRETENDING to be singers.” His rant continued, “The industry will say ‘these actors were so brave to attempt singing this score live’ but why not cast actors who could actually sound good?” Continue reading →
