American Idol is aired its Top 5 to Top 4 eliminations results show tonight, May 3, 2012.

In a shocking turn of events, Skylar Laine was eliminated and voted off!

Last night, Skylar sang Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival and You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me by Dusty Springfield. The judges loved both performances. Jennifer Lopez called her fearless and a natural stage performer and said her songs were so good, she could win this whole thing. Steven Tyler said music loves Skylar. Randy Jackson went so far as to say CCR would be proud of her performance of their song. Continue reading

We are now down to our Top 5 on American Idol which airs a performance show tonight. It’s British Week!

Out Top 5 contestants will be singing two songs each, one from 60’s and the other from Brit pop. Per the photo of tonight’s song list posted above, the 60’s songs for tonight are: “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg” by The Tempations, “The Letter” by The Box Tops, “Proud Mary” by Ike and Tina Turner, “Fortunate Son” by Creedence Clearwater Revival and “River Deep, Mountain High” by Ike and Tina Turner.  Continue reading

SPOTTED: American Idol’s Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet, Skylar Laine, & Hollie Cavanagh Dining With Family After Results Show [PHOTOS]

After Thursday’s American Idol results show which eliminated powerhouse vocalist Elise Testone, we are now down to our Top 5 finalist.

Four of these finalists took time after the results were announced to go out to dinner with their families for a much-needed downtime and celebration: Hollie Cavanagh, Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet, and Skylar Laine were all spotted at The Grove. Colton Dixon blames his shocking elimination off of American Idol On April 19, 2012 on straying too far from who he is.

“The head is still high,” Colton Dixon told THR minutes after he was voted off of American Idol. “I strayed too far from who I was,” Colton sighed, adding, “I knew I was going to be in the bottom three … I turned off a lot of my audience by choosing Lady Gaga.”  Continue reading
