Is Jennifer Lopez really leaving American Idolafter this season? If you’ve been reading any tabloids this week, they’re all naming an unknown source saying JLo is just too busy to come back to the show for it’s 11th season.

The sweet, soft-spoken preacher’s son from Westlake, Louisiana, Joshua Ledet, had his run for the American Idolcrown unexpectedly cut one week too short tonight. Sadly, the American Idol dream has come to an end tonight (May 17) for one of my favorite contestants ever on the show, Joshua Ledet. Congratulations to Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips, one of whom will be crowned our American Idol next week.
Joshua gave three earth-moving performances on last night’s semifinals episode but that and his raw power vocals which never gave us anything less than an amazing experience were somehow not enough to send him into the finale next week. Watch Joshua’s semifinals performances here.
