Nicki Minaj Mourns Her Murdered Cousin

Nicki Minaj is mourning the loss of her cousin, Nicholas Telemaque, who was shot and killed early Monday morning in Brooklyn, NY.

MTV News reports that police responded to a call in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, at 2:40 a.m. Monday morning and found Telemaque, 27, with multiple gunshot wounds. Telemaque was pronounced dead on arrival at Kings County Hospital.

Minaj expressed her sorrow through Twitter:” “My cousin Nicholas. Murdered. Last nite. Near his home. Brooklyn,NY. Lived in Brooklyn his whole life. My precious cousin. My baby. Killed last nite.”

Minaj is currently on tour with Britney Spears and Britney showed her support through Twitter as well: “Please keep Nicki Minaj & her family in your prayers…. keep up the amazing love and support you guys have for her. -Britney”

The video, directed by Chris Marrs Piliero, has the pop star standing on top of a car and wielding a microphone as a weapon against the paparazzi who follow Brit’s every move in real life.

“It’s opening night, bitch!!!!” Britney Spears tweeted before her Femme Fatale tour kicked off in Sacramento, Calif. Thursday.

The good news for Britney is that early reviews of the tour are glowing! Performing a mix of her greatest hits (Toxic, I’m a Slave 4 U) and new songs (I wanna Go, Big Fat Bass), Spears razzle dazzled in one brilliant and skimpy costume after another.

Rolling Stone described the opener as “her flashiest, fastest moving, and most entertaining production yet.” The mag also said tour-opener Nicki Minaj brought her A-game. But, “the night belonged to Britney: She managed to prove that she’s still progressing as a showgirl. Not only that, she’s doing it better than even die-hard defenders would’ve predicted.”

Rihanna‘s opening performance at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards included a white patent leather dominatrix ensemble.

Her dance and song partner, Britney Spears, would not be out done.
So, Britney showed up on stage in a matching black patent leather leotard.

It was vile. It was gooey. It was probably way too smelly. It was pure Johnny Knoxville. Except, it wasn’t. It was Britney Spears instead, wearing goggles and getting into a porta potty to film a sketch for Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday.

Knoxville was a guest on Jimmy’s show and told the host that the 29-year old pop princess was in Jackass 3D but that the stunt was cut out of the movie. So, Jimmy showed the so-called deleted scene and well, you can see it for yourself but be prepared to gag! I mean, any video featuring the Jackass crew, a porta potty, a bungee, and a Britney admitting she’s not “afraid of poopoo” is self explanatory. Watch the Poo Cocktail Supreme below:

Video: Britney Spears Performs At Secret Las Vegas Shows

Britney Spears performed at two not-so-secret shows Friday night at the Palms Casino Resort’s Rain Nightclub in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The concerts were supposed to be a secret and were not announced until the day of the event when Brit took to Twitter:

“Looks like my little secret isnt a secret anymore. Whos coming to watch me take the stage TONIGHT at @RainLasVegas at @PalmsLasVegas?” 

Brit first performed a private show at 8 p.m., followed by a midnight concert open to the general public with tickets selling for $60. The 45-minute set featured tracks from her upcoming Femme Fatale album and was shot by MTV for a special to coincide with the release of her album.
During the shows, Britney had several costume and set changes and Jersey Shore‘s Pauly D entertained and warmed up the quaint crowd of about 1,000 before the festivities started. Britney performed Hold It Against Me, Big Fat Bass and Till The World Ends.

This was Brit’s first pulic performance since her Circus tour in 2009. Her boyfriend Jason Trawick was on the scene as was her dad, Jamie Spears.

Famed photographer Mario Testino shot Spears for V Magazine.

Of course Britney loved the work and said on Twitter:  “I HEART Mario Testino and V Magazine. Mag comes out tomorrow.”

The airbrushed-to-death spring issue of V Magazine featuring Britney Spears will hit the newsstands Thursday.

Britney Spears Reveals “Femme Fatale” Album Cover

Britney Spears is releasing a new album Tuesday, March 15.

The star Tweeted today: “I’ve poured my heart and soul into this album over the last 2 years. I put everything I have into it. This album is for you, my fans, who have always supported me and have stuck by me every step of the way! I love you all!”


Britney continued with the Tweets:

“Sexy and Strong. Dangerous yet mysterious.”
