Frenchie Davis rocked the house by performing the last song on the first live episode of The Voice Tuesday night. Her rendition of David Guetta’s When Love Takes Over was fun and powerful.

Adam Levine said there is something so beautiful about her and she made him really love that song. Blake Shelton said Frenchie is the most powerful singer in the competition. VIDEO: The Voice’s Raquel Castro ‘Blows’ The Competition

Tuesday June 7 marked the first night of live performances on NBC’s The Voice where Team Christina and Team Blake went head to head in the competition.

16-year old Raquel Castro, the youngest singer on the show, kicked off the festivities with her rendition of Ke$ha’s Blow.

Before performing, Raquel said she wants to show America that she’s the whole package, and she sure showed us.
She confidently and fearlessly strutted the stage in a sparkly silver mini dress and high heels, surrounded by back up dancers. Raquel was so good, she had Christina Aguilera out of her chair and dancing along.
Cee Lo Green called the performance wonderful. Adam Levine called Raquel, “Amazing” because she can dance and sing at the same time. Blake Shelton started with a with a “dammit” since his team was up against Team Christina tonight and then called Raquel one of his favorites in the competition. Christina was extremely proud and called Raquel a “dynamo.” You can vote for Raquel by calling: 1855-864-2301.

Video: ‘American Idol’s’ Frenchie Davis ‘Kisses A Girl’ & Shines On ‘The Voice’

I love people who never give up on their dreams. Case in point, Frenchie Davis who got disqualified on season 2 of American Idol for some racy photos she had taken earlier on in life, but who is still pursuing her dreams of becoming a bona fide singer 8 years later.

Fast forward to almost a decade after her dreams were crushed on Idol, Frenchie is trying out for a brand new singing competition, The Voice, starring Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton as “coaches.”
For her audition, Frenchie sang Katy Perry‘s I Kissed a Girl and Aguilera liked her voice so much, she blindly picked her to be on her team of 8 singers whom she will coach throughout the competition.
