VIDEO: Dia Frampton Performance of ‘Losing My Religion’ On The Voice

Dia Frampton won the judges over with her rendition of R.E.M.’s Losing My Religion performed during the second half of The Voice elimination show Tuesday June 21.

Frampton had already wowed us when she performed Kanye West’s Heartless earlier in the season–a rendition which turned into a top 20 song in iTunes sales.

Christina Aguilera told Frampton that she has shown the most growth of all the singers on The Voice. “What’s so interesting about you is that in the beginning I’m all like ‘[she’s] cuddly, soft’,” said Aguilera, “but I’ve seen you grow so much on the show. You kind of made this an interesting game.”

Her coach Blake Shelton joined the praises by joking that he is worried Frampton will release a song and blow his songs off the charts because she is that good. After a standing ovation, Shelton said: “That’s what this show is about. A girl stood out here on this stage an performed and left her heart and soul on the stage. That’s what you’re supposed to do and you do it every time.”

Christina Aguilera Hits Paycheck Gold On ‘The Voice’

It’s not every day that a woman out gains a man in the pay department for the same job done. But Christina Aguilera has made herself an exception. We just found out that she makes a whopping $225,000 per episode of NBC’s hit show, The Voice.

Aguilera’s co-stars Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton each only make $75,000 per episode, which isn’t too shabby at all. But that means Christina makes $150,000 more per episode than her male counterparts. Or triple the pay.
That’s really awesome. Way to go Xtina!

Christina Aguilera Opens Up On Divorce, Super Bowl Snafu, Grammy Fall

Christina Aguilera may be on top of the world now with her coach’s spot on NBC’s hit, The Voice, but the past year has been pretty tough overall on the singer-actress.

Christina’s album latest album, Bionic,  flopped by her own sales standards, and ever since, she has been plagued with one national mishap after another. She divorced her husband of five years, forgot the National Anthem lyrics during the Super Bowl and fell down during a Grammy performance.

Aguilera graces the cover of W Magazine and inside she opens up about the events shaping the last year of her life.

On how she handled the problems:
“Sometimes, especially in the last six months, I still feel like going to the window and singing out all my troubles. I laugh a lot lately. People expect me to cry, but I always laugh when things go wrong.”
On her divorce from Jordan Bratman:
“At one time or another, we were both not angels. It got to a point where my life at home was reminding me of my own childhood. I will not have my son grow up in a tension-filled home.”

On the Super Bowl snafu:

“Everything on the field at the Super Bowl was vividly bright, and I was having a moment. I got lost in the emotion of being there and I messed up the lyrics to the song.”

On her reaction to the Super Bowl snafu:
“I went to dinner after the Super Bowl with Matt [Rutler] and I laughed about how I’d made myself into a Trivial Pursuit question: ‘In 2011 what female singer flubbed the lyrics to the national anthem?'”

On Falling at The Grammys:
“I was thinking, Are you kidding me? I’ve always been really good with my heels. Even pregnant, I could perform in heels. Note to self: Never wear a train onstage. My heel got caught in my train, and if it wasn’t for Jennifer Hudson, who picked me up as I went down, I would have fallen to the floor. When it happened, it was just like, What else, God?! What else?! I threw my hands up in the air and started smiling, because what else could go wrong?”

16-year old Raquel Castro, the youngest singer on the show, kicked off the festivities with her rendition of Ke$ha’s Blow.

Before performing, Raquel said she wants to show America that she’s the whole package, and she sure showed us.
She confidently and fearlessly strutted the stage in a sparkly silver mini dress and high heels, surrounded by back up dancers. Raquel was so good, she had Christina Aguilera out of her chair and dancing along.
Cee Lo Green called the performance wonderful. Adam Levine called Raquel, “Amazing” because she can dance and sing at the same time.
