Adam: I heard that it’s good.
Ellen: It is good.
Adam: I’m going to miss you. I don’t know how I feel about that.

You may soon be calling her, “Mrs. Katy Brand.” Currently known as Katy Perry, the songstress chatted with Ellen DeGeneres on Ellen’s daytime talk show Wednesday about how she has already begun the process to legally take her new husband’s name. You know, that funny guy Russell Brand.

Ellen DeGeneres Speak out Against Bullies [Video]

By now, you have likely heard about Tyler Clementi, a Rutgers University student who killed himself after being videotaped by classmates while engaging in gay sex, and then outed as gay on the internet.

But did you know that Clementi was the fourth teen who recently has been reported as committing suicide as a result of being outed and bullied?

I happened to be in the audience of The Ellen DeGeneres Show when DeGeneres unveiled this moving video urging us to speak out against the growing crisis of bullying amongst teens, saying we need a wake-up call:

“He was outed as being gay on the Internet and he killed himself. Something must be done. This needs to be a wake-up call to everyone that teenage bullying and teasing is an epidemic in this country and the death rate is climbing.”

“One life lost in this senseless way is tragic. Four lives lost is a crisis,” she continued. “My heart is breaking for their families, for their friends and for our society that continues to let this happen … We can’t let intolerance and ignorance take another kid’s life.”

“I want anyone out there who feels different and alone to know that I know how you feel. There is help out there. You can find support in your community. If you need someone to talk to or if you want to get involved, here are some organizations doing great work.”
