Bad Day For The Situation: Sued By Managers For $1 Million

Jersey Shore‘s Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino is having the worst day, ever.

First, we got reports that he abruptly left the show that made him famous.
Now, we hear that his old management team is suing him in excess of $1 million dollars in damages for breach of contract.

Gotham NYC Entertainment filed suit today against the Sitch, alleging that he dropped them like a hot potato in May “due to lack of performance,” but did so without giving  them the 30-day notice and chance to correct issues as required by their contract.

Gotham NYC Entertainment claim that they “discovered” The Situation and managed and transformed “his career from relative obscurity to become an international celebrity,” since the 2009 premiere of Jersey Shore. And now, they feel left high and dry. We will keep you posted of developments.

Has The Situation Quit ‘Jersey Shore’ Too?

MTV’s Jersey Shore is falling apart. First, Vinny Guadagnino inexplicably and abruptly left the Jersey Shore house July 1 while filming season 5 of the reality show.

Now, US Weekly reports that Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino has also bid a premature farewell to the infamous house in Seaside while filming is set to continue.

An insider told the mag, “Mike walked off the show. He’s so over the whole thing, I don’t think he’s coming back. Everyone in the house is so unhappy.”

Perhaps the pressure of nonstop filming and living together is getting to the guidos in the house. The cast had just returned from their six-week trip to Italy after filming season 4 wrapped up there to immediately begin filming their fifth season in Seaside Heights, NJ.

Gone For Good? Vinny Guadagnino Says ‘Buh Bye’ To Jersey Shore

It could be argued that they all should leave and go home, but reports claim that Vinny Guadagnino has abandoned his Seaside Heights housemates on the Jersey Shore for good!

Apparently, Vinny got in a fight with one of his cast mates and left the house feeling “burned out.” He headed home to Staten Island where he is right now instead of shooting the fifth season of the MTV hit reality show.
Vinny wanted to leave earlier in the week due to “being homesick,” but his fellow cast were able to talk him out of it. The cast was less lucky this time.

Jersey Shore’s DJ Pauly D Sued For $4 Million Dollars

DJ Pauly D of Jersey Shore is being sued by… DJ Paulie!

Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio was hit with a $4 million trademark infringement lawsuit Thursday, filed by a Connecticut DJ, Paul Lis, who goes by the stage name, “DJ Paulie.”
DJ Paulie claims his long-established DJ business of 40 years hit the toilet because of the newer but now more famous DJ from Seaside Heights overshadowing him.

According to the New York Post, Lis’ attorney, Jose M. Rojas, says: “[Lis] formally trademarked the name ‘DJ Paulie’ and then came the ‘Jersey Shore’ which basically wiped him off the face of the map.” The lawsuit alleges that because MTV has flooded the internet with so much Jersey Shore information, it is now impossible to find any content or information on Lis.
The lawsuit alleges.”The reality television show [chronicles the lives of] a group of young adults pursuing a debauched lifestyle suggestive of loose morals, violence, intoxication and liberal profanity — the exact opposite of the reputation the Plaintiff, ‘DJ Paulie’ that [sic] he had spent decades cultivating.”
Delvecchio had previously tried to trademark his “Pauly D” nickname, claiming his and Lis’ businesses are sufficiently different to avoid confusion with consumers, but his attempts were denied.
Along with Pauly, MTV and hotels and other businesses that have contracts with him are named as defendants in this lawsuit.

The Situation Drops Lawsuit Against His Father

Jersey Shore star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino recently sued his father Frank Sorrentino because Sorrentino, Sr. had started a website to humiliate his reality show son.

But it seems like all is finally well in the Sorrentino household. TMZ reports that The situation has dropped his suit against his papa and his papa has in turn agreed to stop using his son’s name, image and likeness to make some extra dough.

Frank Sorrentino says in the court papers that he is actually a victim because he was exploited by a “con artist” named Robert Fletcher, his former publishing agent, who planned to make money off of the family fight.

Frank states in court papers, “I regret getting involved with Robert Fletcher and I am sorry that I participated, to the detriment of my son Michael.”
Ah, that just gives me the warm fuzzy feelings…

Jersey Shore Cast Back At Seaside To Film Season 5

Seaside Heights, New Jersey welcomed back its most famous part-time residents this weekend as the cast of  Jersey Shore returned to the their reality TV home base.

Snooki, Pauly D, The Situation, JWoWW, and the rest of the cast recently returned to the US after filming in Italy and the girls were spotted Monday doing what they do most, getting a tan!

A rumor hit the internet Friday that MTV wants to replace the high-priced cast with cheaper unknowns. But MTV was quick to squash the rumors: “We love the present cast and their summer adventures have just begun. We currently have no plans to recast the show.”
Pauly D went a step further to back up his bros and Jersey girls. He told PEOPLE: “I don’t think they could replace us. They’d just be people trying to be like us, anyway.”

MTV Will Recast Jersey Shore?

What happens when you push your boss for one outrageous raise after another when you’re already making a crap load of money to begin with? You lose your job that’s what.

MTV is reportedly planning on recasting Jersey Shore after the original crew films one final season in Seaside Heights this summer to bring in much cheaper and less famous people.
With each passing season, this cast has held out contract negotiations, pushing for bigger and bigger salaries because they argue that the show that made them famous prevents them from having time to take part in more sponsorship deals and club appearances.
The “core group” which we can assume consists of Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio reportedly made about $100,000 per episode to film Season 4 in Florence, Italy, this spring. WHICH IS JUST PLAIN INSANE! They were paid $100,000 to basically party in paradise.

“After this group comes back from Italy and shoots season 5 this summer, that will be the end for them,” a Jersey Shore producer told Us Weekly.

The source added: “They will leave on a high note!” I guess that means they will continue with their spin off shows.

Snooki Arrested For Wrecking A Police Car While Filming In Italy

TMZ reports that Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi has been informally arrested in Italy, after colliding with a police patrol car.

She was driving in Florence with passenger and Jersey Shore co-star Deena Cortese when she slammed into the police car, wedging her and co-star Deena Cortese in the vehicle.

Per a TMZ source, “zero alcohol was involved,” and no one was seemingly injured. But Cortese did have to climb out the window because it was stuck between a wall and the police vehicle.

We will keep you posted…

Jersey Shore’s Ronnie And The Situation Come To Blows In Italy

It was bound to happen: A brawl between Jersey Shore‘s Ronnie Margo and The Situation. And apparently, the fist fight may have started after another blowup between Ronnie and Sammi Giancola.

This all went down while the cast is filming in Italy, giving the locals even more reason to hate the show and probably all of America as a default. Looking at this trailer for season 4, we can see who won and who lost the fight…

The two came back to their apartment separately. This altercation should make things even more interesting moving forward. And by interesting, I mean awkward and volatile…

UPDATE: HERE IS THE FIGHT VIDEO!

Jersey Shore’s The Situation Sues Own Father Over Defamatory Website

Ladies and gents, we have a situation on our hands. Jersey Shore star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is suing his papa, Frank Sorrentino because Sorrentino, Sr. has started a website to humiliate his reality show son.

Per TMZ, Mike Sorrentino filed a lawsuit yesterday in a federal Miami court claiming that his father illegally used his name and image to promote TheConfrontationSite.com and is asking the court to put a stop on this ASAP and to get unspecified damages.

Sad day in JerseyLand. But you know what a suit like this does? Other than cause a greater rift in a family? It brings TONS OF attention to a website which may not have garnered much on its own….Bad move Sitch.
