Katy Perry Wants Kids “In the Very Far Future”

Pop goddess Katy Perry looks pretty in pink hair on the October 2011 issue of InStyle magazine, sporting a stylish Emanuel Ungaro dress and Louis Vuitton belt.

In the fashion spread inside, “California Girls,” the 26-year old singer wears a printed Miu Miu dress along with her pink hair styled in retro pinup and showing off Adeler earrings.

Check out some excerpts from interview:

On her always perfect makeup:

“I ordered a special chair from the dentist so I can lie back and wake up looking like a million bucks – I call it my Sleeping Beauty makeup.”

On her secret to having it all:

“I’m not going to sit and be steamrolled; I’m going to stand up against things that are unjust. I am full of unicorns and Care Bears 99 percent of the time, but don’t open Pandora’s Box of that other 1 percent – because it’s there!”
On having babies:
“Not yet. I think if you’re married, it’s often in your future.” Also, “I think in the future – the very far future – when I have children, I’ll have a more open approach, setting boundaries and showing them what their decisions and choices will breed.”

Katy Perry Ties Michael Jackson’s Record Of #1 Hits

Who knew?!

Not Madonna, not Celine Dion, not Mariah Carey, not Elvis Presley, not Britney Spears, not even Justin Timberlake.

But Katy Perry and Michael Jackson now have an impressive accomplishment in common –they’re both the only musicians who have five # 1 songs from the same album.

Perry became the first woman, and the second artist since Jackson, in the 53-year history of the Billboard Hot 100, to send five songs from an album to No. 1, as soon as her latest single Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) shot to the top of the charts.

Teenage Dreams, California Gurls, Firework, and E.T. are the other number one songs from her 2010 album Teenage Dreams.

Strange as it sounds, Jackson’s iconic 1982 album Thriller which is the #1 best-selling album of all time was not the album that achieved the feat for the late artist. It was his 1987 follow-up Bad, with hits such as Man in the Mirror and Smooth Criminal.

Jackson enjoyed seven weeks at the top spot with his Bad songs, while Perry has so far occupied the top spot for a record 18 weeks.
Congrats Katy Perry, AKA, Mrs. Brand!

Katy Perry: “I Am Grateful My Husband Is Beating His Addictions”

Russell Brand has been drug free since 2002 – when he was 27 – the same age at which his friend Amy Winehouse passed away from a presumed drug overdose.

Brand’s wife, Katy Perry says Amy’s death makes her very thankful that she still has her husband around.

Perry appeared on Good Morning America Monday and said of Winehouse’s early passing:

“My heart felt really sad. My husband, who’s been clean and sober for almost nine years, I see him working [on] a [sobriety] program and working on himself every single day, and I see how much work it takes to be clean and sober when you have addiction on your hands.”

Perry continued: “So it gave me a real gratefulness for my husband, who got clean when he was 27. And I just feel sad and I hope [Amy] finds peace.”

Perry did not personally know Winehouse, but Brand was a friend and a fan and thought of her as a genius. Brand even penned a touching tribute to Amy after her passing and has been asking everyone to take the disease of addiction more seriously.

VOTE: Was Katy Perry’s Blue Carpet Smurfette Dress A Hit Or A Miss?

Not sure I am digging the new blonde locks, but, how cute did Katy Perry look in her bedazzled Smurfette dress at the blue carpet premiere of The Smurfs in New York? Of course no flouncy white mini Smurfette dress would be complete without blue Christian Louboutin heels.

Before the premiere, Katy tweeted: “Headed to SMURF VILLAGE for the premiere of The Smurfs!!! I’m SMURFETTE!!! I’m blue… aba de aba die aba de aba di aba de aba di! YAY.”

I love that Katy does not take herself seriously and did not show up at her first movie premiere in the typical black gown…
But, what do you think of Katy’s dress?

VIDEO: Katy Perry & Russell Brand: “Gossip Is Gross. Our Marriage Is Just Fine!”

Hear Katy Perry loud and clear: Her marriage to Russell Brand is not in trouble. Got it? Good.

There apparently have been a few tabloid headlines lately about supposed trouble in the Perry-Brand paradise, so, Katy and Russell both took to Twitter to tell the world that their marriage is A-OK!

“Just cause we don’t flaunt our relationship doesn’t mean there’s something wrong,” Katy Tweeted. “Privacy is our luxury. #tabloidsrtrash #gossipisgross.”

Gossip is indeed gross.

Her hubbie came to her support by Tweeting: “You tell em Mrs Brand! In Britain we’re currently dismantling the scum media so I’m not tuned in to their brain-farting.”  Brand continued, “The news media vibrates with negative energy and blinds you from seeing all the beauty and love in the world.”

There is indeed so much beauty in the world…so stop reading my site and go discover some today 🙂
