Googlers And Bingers Clash In Their Top 2010 Celeb Searches. Who Won The Celeb Battle?

Kim Kardashian vs. Justin Bieber.

Who was the Queen or King of top searched celebrities in 2010? Depends on whether you ask Bing or Google.

Last week, I reported on the list of top 2010 celebrities searched on Bing. On that list, Kim Kardashian was the clearcut winner. Justin did not even crack the top 5. “How on earth is that possible, I thought?”  Justin is everywhere and has his hands and name on everything, including book writing, nail polish, bedding, and oh, ya, music.

But, this week, Google’s list of top 2010 searched celebs has been unveiled and the two search engines have turned up quite different results. Google gave the crown to Justin Bieber and has Kimmie coming in at three.

Since Google has, well a google more users than Bing, I guess Justin Bieber wins this battle of searches just like he has won every other battle it seems this year.

But the full list of results (below) make me wonder who the typical Bing Search user and the typical Google Search user is because each user certainly differs in his/her taste for “celebrities.”

Are you a Google guy/gal or a Binger? I myself am a Google girl but you couldn’t tell based on these results as I can’t fully relate to either…

Katy Perry Wants To Be Called Mrs. Russell Brand

You may soon be calling her, “Mrs. Katy Brand.” Currently known as Katy Perry, the songstress chatted with Ellen DeGeneres on Ellen’s daytime talk show Wednesday about how she has already begun the process to legally take her new husband’s name. You know, that funny guy Russell Brand.

When asked if she already gets called “Mrs. Brand” Katy admitted: “I do actually!”
Katy continued: “When people try to get my attention, like if I’m at an event or something like that, and they want special attention, they go, ‘Mrs. Brand!’ And I go shwoosh!”

When Ellen asked Katy about married life with her new husband, Katy said: “There is never a dull moment. A sense of humor is really important in our household. That’s how we de-stress and we like to have a laugh.”

Taylor Swift Named Entertainer Of The Year

Entertainment Weekly has named Taylor Swift  “Entertainer of the Year.” Congrats young lady Swift.

What made her top dog this year? She starred in a movie, Valentine’s Day, won four Grammys including album of the year, released her third record, Speak Now, which sold 1,047,000 units in its first week of release alone – the highest tally for any release in five years – and has sold out one concert arena after another. All of this before reaching her 21st birthday.

In the interview, Swift talks about tabloid rumors about her music being all about men she has dated in the past; men such as Taylor Lautner, Joe Jonas, and John Mayer. She says, “Sometimes I would laugh because I would see it in print and it would say, ‘This song, which is written about her ex, so-and-so…’ And they would write about it as if it was fact.
The fact is, I haven’t ever confirmed that any song is about any particular person. There’s something kind of freeing about that. As far as I’m concerned, it’s all still up in the air.” [You notice though, she doesn’t deny it; just sayin’.]

For more with Taylor Swift and EW’s 14 other named entertainers of the year — including James Franco, Kanye West, Wil Smith’s kids, Jon Hamm, and Katy Perry — pick up the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, on stands Friday, December 3.

Katy Perry Says Russell Brand Is A Man Of God And She Is A Freak In Bed

Russell Brand is pretty funny. We knew that already. But apparently, he is much more than that if you listen to his new not-so-blushing but utterly gushing wife, Katy Perry.
Perry told Harper’s Bazaar: “I always knew I wanted a great man of God...Someone who’s an inspiration for people and also a lovely husband and father.” Perry continued: “We’re at different places in our lives, but we can still grow together.”
“I also definitely wanted to have a laugh. I have all that in him.”
So, of course, a man of God needs a freak in bed, and that is exactly who he has in Perry. Perry recently told Now Magazine: “Like Ludacris raps, ‘I’m a lady in the street and a freak in the bed.  If you ask Russell I’m sure he’d give me a 10 out of 10.”
Sounds like a match made in heaven! LOVE IT!
