Joan Collins you are still a beautiful naughty woman! And we love you for it!
With an acting career spanning over 50 years, the legendary British and ever-oh-so-glamorous-yet-so-devilish Joan Collins stopped by the Grove in Los Angeles to have a chat with Mario Lopez of Extra.
Best known to American audiences as the vixen Alexis Colby in the long-running ABC television series Dynasty, as well as being a favorite of Star Trek fans for her appearance as Edith Keeler in the Star Trek episode “The City on the Edge of Forever”, Ms. Collins looked just as beautiful to me as she did in the 80’s.
Joan walked onto the Extra set in a stunning off-white coat, off-white dress, off-white cap, off-white gloves and off-white shoes, making all heads turn. She has an undeniable presence. Even fellow-Brit Simon Cowell would admit that Joan has the “It Factor!”
On her recent role playing David Spade’s mom on CBS’ Rules of Engagement:
“The description of her is ‘dripping in jewels, and slightly crazy.’ So I said, I can do that!”
On her upcoming one-woman show in NYC, One Night with Joan:
“It’s a series of outrageous stories about Richard Burton, Bette Davis, Paul Newman and the Dynasty cast of course. Everybody.” [Show plays @ NYC’s Feinstein’s at Loews Regency Ballroom, November 16-27.]
“I was asked but never did and never would and no one else should!”
On the most beautiful celeb she ever met:
“Ava Gardner.”
On the controversy of her calling Jennifer Aniston “cute” but not “beautiful”:
“I was given a list to pick from on who I thought was cute and who I thought was beautiful and I said Sandra Bullock, Kate Hudson and Jennifer are cute. [Then she turned to Mario and said by way of example:] Your’re cute; you’re not beautiful! But you’re cute.”
