“The Tudors'” Henry Cavill Cast As Next Superman

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s, Superman Henry Cavill? What? Who’s that you may ask?

If you have not yet heard of Cavill, you will once he plays the man of steel in the next installment of Superman!

Yes, that’s right, the British actor, best known for his role of Charles Brandon in The Tudors, has just been cast as the next man-o-steel in director Zack Snyder’s new reboot of the franchise.

Per the NY Times, Warner Brothers is planning on releasing a new Superman film sometime in the next two years, to be directed by Zack Snyder and produced by Christopher Nolan. Says Snyder of Cavill as Superman:

“In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time, and I am honored to be a part of his return to the big screen. I also join Warner Bros., Legendary and the producers in saying how excited we are about the casting of Henry. He is the perfect choice to don the cape and S shield.”

Looking at the photo of Cavill, I must say, I approve!

Camilla Belle Talks “From Prada To Nada”– Exclusive Photos

The 24-year old fashion icon, Camilla Belle, best known for 10,000 BC and When A Stranger Calls, was at The Grove in Los Angeles, CA to talk to Mario Lopez of Extra about her new movie, From Prada to Nada, co-starring Alexa Vega.

Belle told Lopez about the movie: “It’s kind of a riches to rags story which is a little different from a rags to riches story but it’s loosely based off of Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility so it’s kind of modern, Latin take on that story.”

Belle said more specifically that the movie is about “two sisters who lose everything and have to move to East LA and get bombarded with the Mexican culture.”

From Prada to Nada is playing in theaters right now.

Hangover Part II Results In A Coma

There’s been a lot of injuries on movie sets lately and each one gets more serious than the last. This time, the accident happened on the set of The Hangover Part II.

An Australian stunt driver, Scot McLean, has been hospitalized in Thailand after a crash left him severely injured and in a coma during shooting.

The accident took place during a Dec. 17 stunt in which McLean rammed his vehicle at high speed into another vehicle in Bangkok.

Warner Bros., the movie’s distributer, has released a statement confirming the incident.

“There was an accident involving a truck and a car on the second unit set of The Hangover Part II near Bangkok. A stuntman was injured during the filming of this sequence. The truck and car were both driven by stunt drivers. An ambulance immediately took the injured stuntman to the local hospital, and he has since been transported to a hospital in Bangkok where advanced care is being provided.”

The Hangover Part II stars Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, and Ed Helms.

Only five more months until the immortal Captain Jack Sparrow will be back terrorizing the high seas. LOL. Well, you know, not exactly terrorizing. More like, charmingly stealing his way back into our hearts yet again.

On May 20, Johnny Depp will reprise the iconic role which he created from scratch as he once again sets foot into Captain Jack Sparrow’s mucky boots in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Continue reading

Mel Gibson Is Fired By The Hangover 2 And Liam Neeson Is Hired Instead

Mel Gibson was supposed to get his big comeback as a tattoo artist in a cameo in The Hangover 2. But then, supposedly the cast and crew objected and Gibson got fired yesterday. A day later, Gibson’s replacement has already been named: The Hangover 2 producers flew in Bradley Cooper’s A-Team co-star Liam Neeson to take Gibson’s place.

“I just got the call to do a one-day shoot on Hangover 2 as a tattooist in Thailand, and that’s all I know about it,” Neeson told Variety. “I just laughed my leg off when I saw The Hangover. I was shooting in Berlin earlier this year and rented it on the hotel TV.”
Hangover Director Todd Phillips released a statement on Thursday after Gibson was cut: “I thought Mel would have been great in the movie and I had the full backing of Jeff Robinov and his team. But I realize filmmaking is a collaborative effort, and this decision ultimately did not have the full support of my entire cast and crew,” he said.

Watch Marky Mark Wahlberg In The Trailer for The Fighter

I love Mark Wahlberg, so, not sure I want to watch that beautiful face of his get pummeled on screen.

But, in case you don’t mind, below is the trailer for The Fighter, based on the early years of boxer “Irish” Micky Ward and his brother who helped train him before going pro in the mid 1980s.

The Fighter is directed by David O. Russell, of Spanking the Monkey, Flirting with Disaster, Three Kings, and I Heart Huckabees.

Paramount is bringing The Fighter to limited theaters starting on December 10th with an expansion the following week. The movie also stars Amy Adams and Christian Bale.

Watch: Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Trailer [Video]

Warner Bros.

Summer 2010 was a disappointing time for the movie box office.

Hollywood, or at least Warner Bros. is hoping Harry Potter will provide the jolt needed to change things around.
Warner Bros. just released the second trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I and it reveals a much darker world of wizards. It also shows Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint at the top of their acting game.
