Nominees for the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards were announced Wednesday night by Katy Perry, who also leads the nominees with nine VMA nods, including “Video of the Year” and “Best Female Video,” for her massive hit, Firework.
Adele, whose
21 is this year’s biggest selling album to date, is second on the list, tied with
Kanye West, having earned 7 VMA nods for
Rolling In The Deep.
The 2011 VMAs will be held August 28th at 9 PM EST.
