Oscar-winning Reese Witherspoon may be engaged to Jim Toth, but she still fell under the ever-oh-so-charming spell of her upcoming Water for Elephants‘ co-star, Robert Pattinson. I’d say, Reese, woah, control yourself. But then, seriously, who can blame her? Entertainment Tonight reports that while shooting the film last summer, Witherspoon considered herself “so lucky” to be able to shoot love scenes with Pattinson.
“He’s so amazing and wonderful and sweet,” Witherspoon told ET. “And just the nicest guy too, so you can just add that to the soup. I mean, he’s just so good looking, and he’s a really nice person.”
Reese, seriously, tell us how you really feel? S-T-O-P holding back.
OK, so, she did’t hold really back. In her interview with ET, Witherspoon looked back to the first time she worked with Pattinson, on a small part he had in the 2004 Vanity Fair. Strangely enough, he was cast as her son! His scenes ended up on the cutting room floor, but Witherspoon still remembers him fondly: “He was walking down this corridor, and I turned to the director, and I said, ‘That’s my son? He’s so good looking!’ I was like, ‘He’s so hot!'”
And Pattinson tells ET: “Even then, I realized on the set….I look too old to be playing her son. I mean, that’s probably why I was cut.”
Christmas has been filled with breakups and engagements! I like to focus on the happier side of relationships…
Latest celeb to get engaged over the Christmas holiday is my girl, Reese Witherspoon! Reese chose Jim Toth, a Hollywood agent as her hubbie to be. Witherspoon’s rep says the obvious: “They are extremely happy!”
Happy wedding bells Reese!
Here is a picture of Toth that I happen to take two weeks ago at the premiere of How Do You Know:
Reese Witherspoon is so cute. Everything about her is just pure lovable. But don’t tell her that, because she probably will not believe you!
In an interview on Chelsea Lately Tuesday night, Reese confided in Chelsea Handler that she doesn’t like to see photos of herself. “That Kinda drives me nuts. I literally think I look bad in every picture.”
Chelsea then asked if she likes to watch herself in her movies. Reese responded: “I can’t watch myself. I don’t know, who feels good looking at themselves? Nobody, right? It’s torture. Why would you want to watch yourself being stupid and pretending to be somebody else?”
Watch the whole interview below, it’s quite the girl talk between the two co-stars in the upcoming movie, This Means War:
Reese Witherspoon took a two year break from movie making but now has a couple of films coming out in a row: How Do You Know which is set for release on Friday and then, the upcoming Water for Elephants, set for an April 15 debut. Interestingly enough, both movies trap Witherspoon in a love triangle.
Set mostly in the 1930s, Water for Elephants co-stars Robert Pattinson as a veterinary student who quits school after a family tragedy and ends up accidentally on a circus train. On the train he runs into circus ringleader August, played by Oscar winner Christoph Waltz, and his wife, Marlena, played by Witherspoon.
For the rest, you will have to watch the story unfold on the big screen or read the best-seller novel by the same name, written by Sara Gruen. Here is the trailer for now:
Reese Witherspoon and me 🙂 At the premiere of “How Do You Know”
WESTWOOD, Calif. December 13, 2010 – Reese Witherspoon, Jack Nicholson, Owen Wilson and Paul Rudd were all at the premiere of their upcoming romantic comedy, How Do You Know, held at the Regency Village Theater. Reese was stunningly-dressed in a Zac Posen Spring 2011 RTW strapless bustier dress and could not have looked prettier.

“We’re all just one small adjustment away from making our lives work,” says one of Reese Witherspoon’s two love interests in her upcoming movie, How Do You Know. And by “small adjustment” he meant the addition of Reese’s love into his own life – a life which had taken a bit of a wrong turn without any fault of his own but which he knew could be course-corrected with the love of the right woman by his side.
How Do You Knowtakes a contemporary and romantic look at the question, “How do you know [when you are in love?]” In this movie, Reese has two equally-cute but horribly messed up men vying for her love – played by Owen Wilson and Paul Rudd. Each man would bring unique charm, potential, challenges, compatibility and inherent flaws to the table – and it’s up to Reese to realize which one of the two men is the love of her life.
I won’t tell you whom she picks or if she picks either at all, but I will tell you to go see this incredibly heart-warming movie. I don’t know why movie critics make a habit of slamming one romantic comedy after another, like they have done with this movie. I mean, seriously, we don’t go into such films looking for Oscar-worthy moments. Those of us who love light-hearted romances, simply want a break from our every day lives and in that respect, this movie delivers enough charm, laughs and touching moments to qualify as a a great chick flick.
Written and directed by James L. Brooks (Broadcast News, As Good As It Gets and Terms of Endearment,) How Do You Know hits the theaters December 17, 2010.
Reese Witherspoon is on the cover of Entertainment Weekly which hits the stands this Friday, December 10.
In the candid interview accompanying the cover, Reese, who stars opposite Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson in the upcoming romantic comedy How Do You Know, explains that her two-year break from acting wasn’t anything she planned. “I just didn’t read anything I liked,” she says.
In the EW issue the actress also talks about her divorce from Ryan Phillippe, dealing with pain and rumors, Googling herself, and why she might need a therapist.
Here are some excerpts:
On dealing with a publicized divorce: “It definitely sometimes feels like a suit that I wish I could zip off. But I don’t feel bad about any of the things I’ve gone through, whether it’s divorce or breakups or anything like that, because that’s all part of the life journey, and I have those experiences just like anyone else. And I think it deepens what you tap into creatively.” On dealing with pain: “My favorite quote is from Martha Stewart: ‘I have a short memory for painful things.’ And I do. I have one of those incredible memories where I just erase painful things. Maybe that’s really unhealthy, and I probably need to see a therapist. But I don’t dwell. You just keep going forward. Also, I have kids. What are you going to do? Are you going to teach them to be one of those people who keep looking in the rearview mirror, or are you going to teach them to be one of those people who go, ‘Tomorrow’s another day’?” On her mother handling Reese’s wedding rumors: “My mom always texts me, like, ‘Are you getting married?’ ” Witherspoon says, laughing. “I’m like, ‘Mom, come on! You would know if I was getting married.’ ”
On Googling herself: “Oh, only in very, very dark moments—moments of pure self-loathing—do I type my name into Google. [Laughs] And I know what I’m in for. You never read anything positive—you always go straight to where you know they’re going to say something nasty about you.”
