All of the stars played it safe on the 2013 Oscars Red Carpet, with a few exceptions. Here is a run down of the 2013 Academy Awards best and worst of fashion: The most exciting fashion look on the carpet was 9 year old Quvenzhané Wallis with her adorable blue dress and always present puppy purse. Most of the other ladies who hit the carpet played it safe in predictable colors, shapes and designers. Continue reading

Eddie Murphy: Forbes’ Most Overpaid Actors List. See Who Makes Top 10
My favorite annual Forbes‘ list has come out! It’s Forbes’ 2012 ‘Most Overpaid Actors In Hollywood’ List, shamefully topped this year by Eddie Murphy. Murphy’s career seems to need a complete overhaul with Forbes calling three of some of the actor’s most recent films, Imagine That, A Thousand Words and Meet Dave, ‘colossal flops.’ Continue reading
Ryan Gosling: “No One Can Top My Past Two Greatest Girlfriends”
Ryan Gosling, who was caught skipping around like a kid with Eva Mendes at Disneyland last week, says he isn’t dating anyone right now because he can’t find a woman who can top his ex’s Sandra Bullock or Rachel McAdams.
Ryan believes his relationships with Bullock and McAdams failed because everyone involved work in Hollywood.
He told The Times: “Showbusiness is the bad guy. When both people are in showbusiness it’s too much showbusiness. It takes all of the light, so nothing else can grow.”
Ryan said that when it’s time to have children, he will give up the movies. “I’d like to be making babies but I’m not, so I’m making movies. When someone comes along I don’t think I’ll be able to do both and I’m fine with that. I’ll make movies until I make babies. I have no idea when the handover will happen.”

So, Who Were Barbara Walters’ Final And Top Two Most Fascinating People?
We already knew 8 of Barbara Walter’s picks for the 10 Most Fascinating People of 2010. Those 8 were:
- Cast of Jersey Shore
- Kate Middleton
- Sandra Bullock
- Sarah Palin
- Jennifer Lopez
- Betty White
- Justin Bieber
- LeBron James
Tonight, we found out the identity of the last two. One, I had correctly guessed to be Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook. The other one, who was Barb’s pick for the most fascinating person of 2010, I believe took every one by surprise: General David Petraeus.
General Petraeus is a United States Army general who serves as the current Commander, International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and Commander, U.S. Forces Afghanistan. He was appointed by President Barack Obama to replace former Gen. Stanley McChrystal as the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan.
Barbs explains General Petraeus is kind of a “rock star” in the military. Barb continued, “In life, it seems, there are people who break things and people who fix them. This man is a fixer. A lot depends on General Petraeus and his combination of humanity and strength.” It seems that in this war, it is a combination of compassion and firepower which is needed to combat the specific enemies facing the US in that terrain.
Petraeus believes in creating order by gaining the trust of the locals. In practice, this means constructing schools, teaching farmers new techniques, helping local businesses grow, bolstering the government to provide basic services to its own citizens, and maintaining peace to keep it from becoming a launching pad for terrorists.
Petraeus joins an eclectic and bizarre group for the title of “Most Fascinating Person,” as selected by Barb over the last 18 years of the list’s existence. Last year, first lady Michelle Obama was named the Most Fascinating person. In 2008, it was then President-elect Barack Obama. Past honorees include Laura Bush, J.K. Rowling, Nancy Pelosi, Paris Hilton, Camilla Parker Bowles, Lance Armstrong, Gen. Tommy Franks, Colin Powell, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Nelson Mandela and more. Yep, you read that correctly. The top honorees over the years have in fact included both Paris Hilton and Nelson Mandela. If that does not spell eclectic and bizarre, I don’t know what else would.
Here are some clips from tonight’s special:
Googlers And Bingers Clash In Their Top 2010 Celeb Searches. Who Won The Celeb Battle?
Who was the Queen or King of top searched celebrities in 2010? Depends on whether you ask Bing or Google.
But, this week, Google’s list of top 2010 searched celebs has been unveiled and the two search engines have turned up quite different results. Google gave the crown to Justin Bieber and has Kimmie coming in at three.
Since Google has, well a google more users than Bing, I guess Justin Bieber wins this battle of searches just like he has won every other battle it seems this year.
But the full list of results (below) make me wonder who the typical Bing Search user and the typical Google Search user is because each user certainly differs in his/her taste for “celebrities.”
Barbara Walters Announces Her Most Fascinating People List
Barbara Walters has released her 2010 list of The 10 Most Fascinating People of the Year. Some of the ones selected are obvious choices and some are just downright weird. Below is the full list, minus two mystery honorees which will only be revealed during Barb’s hour-long special which airs next week.
Betty White. Need I say why?
LeBron James may have broken the heart of every single Clevelander when he signed on to play basketball for the Miami Heat, but he somehow endeared his way on to Barb’s list.
Barbara’s ABC special airs Thursday, December 9 at 10PM.
Our friends at Newsy sent us this video discussing the list!
Sandra Bullock Named Most Powerful Actress On The Planet
Other than her marriage ending, this has been an amazing year for Sandra Bullock. She won an Oscar, adopted her first child and topped Forbes’ list of top ten highest paid actresses.
If all that were not enough, Bullock now graces the cover of EW with the caption: “What’s Next for Sandra? She’s now the Most Powerful Actress on the Planet.”
Crash co-writer/director, Paul Haggis, says about Bullock: “I remember right after Crash, I was pitching Sandra Bullock to a studio for another dramatic role and they went, ‘I don’t know, America doesn’t think of her this way’. Now those same people want her for everything. It’s hysterical.”
A high ranking film agent says about Bullock: “She’s getting offered all the scripts that matter. Everyone is rooting for her. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
Bullock herself says about her up and down career: “You have really high peaks and you have some valleys. The nice thing is that something like The Proposal gives you is you get to say, ‘Okay, I’ve done it. Something wonderful happened.’ But you can’t always have wonderful things, one after the other so just be happy with what you’ve got and that’s it.”
