‘The Office’ Signs Off The Air….
After nine seasons, NBC is finally turning the lights off, permanently, on The Office.
Daniels said, “This year feels like the last chance to … make an artistic ending for the show.”
James Spader Joins The Cast of ‘The Office’
It’s official: James Spader will be on the cast of NBC’s The Office come next season.
Paul Lieberstein, who is executive producer of the sitcom and who plays Toby on the show, said in a statement: “James will reprise his role as Robert California, this uber-salesman that has a power to convince and manipulate, like a high-class weirdo Jedi warrior.”
“He’ll have been hired over the summer as the new manager, but within hours, got himself promoted. Within days, he took over the company. James has an energy that is completely his own, and ‘The Office’ has no tools for dealing with this guy. We’re thrilled he’s joining our cast.”
Video: SNL Revives & Twists Up Popular ‘Ambiguously Gay Duo’ Animation
This weekend, Saturday Night Live revived an animated favorite, Robert Smigel’s Ambiguously Gay Duo. But there was a heeelarious twist: Ace and Gary morphed from cartoon characters into real live-action heroes!
Jon Hamm and Jimmy Fallon play the part of our beloved crime fighters, giving real-life villains played by Steve Carell, Ed Helms and Stephen Colbert a run for their money…or at least a side peep show.
Will Ferrell Hints At Permanent Gig On ‘The Office’
Would Will Ferrell change his temp status as an incompetent Dunder-Mifflin branch manager on The Office to a full-time employee? If you ask Ferrell, his answer might be a “definite maybe!”
Ferrell is set to make a four-episode stint on the NBC hit comedy starting April 14 but there is a good chance he may stay longer!
Ferrell then told US magazine, “It’s looking good!”
Who knows if Ferrell is serious or joking, but if anyone can save the show after Carell leaves, I have no doubt it would be him. What do you think of this actor switcharoo? Will you tune in?
And, in case you missed the NBC promo spot, below is a video of Ferrell’s first look as the new big cheese in Scranton:

Will Ferrell To Guest Star On Four Episodes Of The Office
Will Ferrell is a fan of The Office. So much so that he called the show’s producers and offered his acting services in sending Steve Carell off of the show in appropriate comedic style.
Ricky Gervais To Make Appearance On The US Version of “The Office”
Details are sketchy here folks and I usually don’t print rumors, but this was promoted by The Office‘s Facebook page, so, it’s a bit more official than tabloid fodder.
Steve Carell Leaving The Office Much Sooner Than We Thought….
This is simply, unacceptable. When we first heard the tragic news that Steve Carell will be exiting The Office this season, we assumed we had until May to say goodbye to our lovable enigma boss, Michael Scott.
But we have just been dealt another blow of apocalyptic proportions: Michael will actually leave Scranton (or at least Dunder-Mifflin) about a month before this season ends.
Wait. Are you telling me we just got shortchanged by another month?
How can this be? Producer Paul Lieberstein (who also plays Toby Flenderson) told NY Mag: “Steve will have a number of episodes that dramatize and lead up to Steve leaving. Then we’ll continue on for about four more episodes, and the spring will prove to be not about an actor leaving, but what happens in an office when a manager leaves and the chaos ensues and people vie for the job and are uncertain about their future.”
Despite the impending gloomy loss of Carell, Lieberstein is pretty chipper about life after Michael Scott this season and thereafter. He tells NY Mag: “This time last year there was probably a lot of dread. But right now there’s a lot of excitement. We’re having the kinds of conversations we had in seasons one and two about, ‘What is the show?’ It feels like we … can really influence the show in a way we couldn’t last year. It feels really cool.”
NBC Releases “Goodbye” Preview Video Clip For Steve Carell’s Departure
Sadly, the end of The Office as we know it is fast approaching unless Craig Robinson’s campaign, “Steve Don’t Leave” is successful. If not, which is likely the case, Steve Carell who perfectly portrays Michael Scott will leave the show at the end of this season.
Once I was able to wipe away my tears at the inevitability of this absolute horror, I watched the “goodbye” preview video clip below which NBC just released for Michael Scott and The Office. While watching it, I started crying even harder.
What’s gonna happen to Dunder Mifflin once Michael Scott is no longer around? Michael Scott once pondered about this possibility and asked out loud, “What happens to a company when they take its boss away?” He answered his own question with another question: “What happens to a chicken when you take his head away?” To which Michael answered himself, “It dies! Unless you find a new head!” If you found this paragraph absolutely dumbfounding, then, in essence you get the enigma that is Michael Scott.
We will miss you so very much Michael Scott.
