John Mayer Says He Was Humiliated By Taylor Swift’s “Dear John” Song

Taylor Swift and John Mayer dated eons ago and broke up. Taylor then wrote a “Dear John” song for her “Speak Now” album about a relationship gone sour, without ever confirming that the song was about Mayer. Two years later, Mayer has spoken up and is not a happy camper about that song. To say the least.

In case you don’t know the lyrics, they go something like this….”Dear John, I see it all, now it was wrong / Don’t you think 19 is too young to be played by your dark twisted games, when I loved you so?”
In a new Rolling Stone interview, Mayer calls the Swift tune “cheap songwriting” and say it made him feel terrible. And he wants us to know that he did not deserve any of it. The song came out a little after Mayer went on a two-year hiatus following his controversial interviews with Rolling Stone and Playboy.

“I was really caught off-guard, and it really humiliated me at a time when I’d already been dressed down. I mean, how would you feel if, at the lowest you’ve ever been, someone kicked you even lower?” John concludes the interview with admitting that Swift is the biggest thing in music now. But says, “I think it’s abusing your talent to rub your hands together and go, ‘Wait till he gets a load of this!’ That’s bullshit.”

Taylor Swift: My Next Album Will Be About My Crash-And-Burn Heartbreak

Taylor Swift covers the February 2012 Vogue, wearing Rodarte.

Here’s what the 22-year-old singer had to say:

On feeling like she doesn’t belong:
“I think who you are in school really sticks with you. I don’t ever feel like the cool kid at the party, ever. It’s like, smile and be nice to everybody, because you were not invited to be here.”On getting ahead of herself on her future:

“I fret about the future. What my next move should be. What the move after that should be. How I am going to sustain this. How do I evolve. I get so ahead of myself. I’m like, ‘What am I going to be doing at 30?’ But there’s no way to know that! So it’s this endless mind-boggling equation that you’ll never figure out. I overanalyze myself into being a big bag of worries.” Continue reading

Taylor Swift Embraces Role Model Responsibility, Says Singers Are Raising The Next Generation

Unlike other celebrities who shirk their responsibility as role models, Taylor Swift embraces hers.

Based on excerpt’s from tomorrow night’s 60 Minutes, the singer says she understands that some people may look up to her and she takes it seriously.

“I definitely think about a million people when I’m getting dressed in the morning, and that’s just part of my life now,” Swift tells the news show. “I think it’s my responsibility to know it and to be conscious of it.”

Swift also says she won’t take the easy road and act badly only to blame it all on her young age. She says, “It would be really easy to say ‘I’m 21 now, I do what I want. You raise your kids!'” Swift continues,”But it’s not the truth of it. The truth of it is that every singer out there with songs on the radio is raising the next generation.”

Taylor Swift: “I’m So Single, I Sit By Myself & Watch Law & Order”

Serial dater Taylor Swift is currently single. Very single if you ask her.

Taylor has dated hot celebs such as Taylor Lautner, John Mayer, Joe Jonas and Jake Gyllenhaal in the past, but right now, she sits alone at home and watches  Law & Order.

Really!

The woman who was just named Billboard‘s Woman of the Year opened up on The Ellen DeGeneres Show about her single life.

“I sit by myself and I watch Law & Order. I don’t have a boyfriend,” the singer told Ellen. “I don’t even have like kind of a boyfriend. I don’t have someone that I’m texting that is a guy that someday might be my boyfriend. There’s like nothing going on right now.”
After DeGeneres jokingly called Taylor “pathetic,” the singer turned serious and said:

“You have to be okay with it. If you’re the girl that needs a boyfriend and once she loses that boyfriend needs to replace it with a different boyfriend… I don’t feel like I ever want to be that girl. I want to be the girl that when she falls in love, it’s a big deal and it’s a rare thing.”

“You’d know if I had a boyfriend,” Taylor concluded.
