Sara Ramirez of Grey’s Anatomy was at The Grove Tuesday for an interview with Mario Lopez of Extra! Shonda Rhimes, creator, head writer and executive producer of Grey‘s was in the audience in support!
Lopez asked Ramirez to give him scoop on upcoming episodes of the season, and she said, “You want me to tell you secrets with my boss watching?” Ramirez did say that there will be lots of “struggles” in the future for the show’s characters, both in their personal relationships and professional lives. And that we would “just have to watch to see” all the fun stuff waiting for our favorite doctors.
Grey’s Anatomy will return from its current hiatus March 31st with a musical. Ramirez said the fans will be shocked to see how well some of the cast members can sing! She said of all the cast, Chandra Wilson who plays Miranda Bailey impressed her the most but that the whole cast sings well. Ramirez herself, who plays Callie Torres on Grey’s Anatomy, played the original Lady of the Lake in the 2005 Broadway musical Spamalot, for which she won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.
Here are some photos and video from the interview. Make sure to tune in to Extra next week to see the full interview.
