BREAKING NEWS: 67-year old iconic Iranian fashion designer Bijan Pakzad has died after suffering a stroke Thursday night.Valla Jewelry designer and one of Bijan’s best friends, David Sedgh, gave these details. On Thursday, Bijan was not feeling well. His business manager told him to stay home and relax. He insisted in coming in the store in the afternoon. Once at the store, Bijan was in the other room on the telephone when his manager heard a thumping noise. She rushed to the room only to have found Bijan collapsed on the floor. Continue reading →

James Franco Fights Back Against Oscar Joke Writer

It’s true – James Franco did not exactly kill it as an Oscar‘s host. But Oscar joke writer Bruce Vilanch opened up a can of whoop ass on Franco in New York magazine’s Vulture blog and Franco did not wait long to strike back via Twitter.

Vilanch told Vulture: “[Franco] has so many balls in the air, he didn’t get to town till Thursday before the show on Sunday…I don’t think he realized how big a deal it is to do it until he was actually confronted with it. I think he thought he would kind of … I don’t know what he thought.” As if that wasn’t a big enough stinger, Vilanch continued,”I have to call James Franco and tell him the show’s over. The Chicago Bears lost the NFC championship game Sunday to the Green Bay Packers. Bears’ quarterback Jay Cutler left the game in the second quarter with a knee injury only to come back in the third to test the knee out, but left the game for good pretty soon after. Well, to be exact, Steve has again spoken. No word or response has yet been received from God; that we know of.

Kim & Kourtney Kardashian Get New Reality Show Based In New York

The Kardashians are taking over the world. Or at least each coast in the United States.

The latest saga chronicling  the popular reality-TV family will document Kourtney and Kim’s every move as they take over NYC. Aptly named, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, the show will debut on E! in January 2011.

This explains Kim and Kourtney’s sudden move to Manhattan. “Fireworks over the Brooklyn Bridge. Welcome to NYC, bayba baaaybay!” was what Kim tweeted upon her arrival. Continue reading →

  Dancing with the Stars got into full swing of things this week with the show’s premiere on Monday and the shocking ouster of its first casualty, David Hasselhoff, on Tuesday.
One of the more interesting teams still vying for the Mirror Ball trophy are Mark Ballas and his partner, Bristol Palin, together known as Team Ballin’.
Bristol first entered the national spotlight when her mother, former Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin was selected to be John McCain’s running mate in the 2008 Presidential election. Bristol traveled the country alongside her mother, father and siblings on the campaign trail. 
After giving birth to her son Tripp, and becoming a single teen mother in 2008, Palin became a spokesperson for the prevention of teen pregnancy and other teen issues. As an advocate for the protection of life, Palin wanted to share her story with other teens who may one day face a similar situation. Palin also acts as Teen Ambassador for The Candie’s Foundation, to prevent teen and unplanned pregnancy.



Mark is one of the nicest, most down to earth people I have ever met. He comes from a family of international dance stars, so, it’s no surprise that Mark has two shiny Mirror Ball trophies at home. He even beat out his dad, Corky, and tied with childhood friend Derek Hough, for the wins: He won the DWTS title in Season 6 with partner Kristi Yamaguchi, and again in Season 8 with Shawn Johnson.

When he’s not dancing, Mark focuses on his other passion, which is music. He rocks out with his band on tour and in the studio, where he’s working to complete his upcoming CD, set for release later this fall. You can catch an acoustic show of his at the Viper Room in Hollywood, CA this Friday at 7:45pm. Per Mark, “The first 100 get in free. :)”
