The world lost a legend to gun violence when John Lennon was shot and killed by a gunman Dec. 8, 1980.
Three decades later, his widow Yoko Ono Tweeted a photo of John’s bloody glasses in an effort to raise awareness for the issue of gun control.
“The death of a loved one is a hollowing experience,” Yoko wrote. “After 33 years our son Sean and I still miss him. Yoko Ono Lennon.”
Yesterday would have been John and Yoko’s 44th wedding anniversary which explains Ono’s timing for the plea. Continue reading
