The rumor around town Los Angeles Thursday September 8, 2011 was that Dancing with the Stars season 13 had claimed its first victim, Ricki Lake. The exact rumor? That Lake was taken to the hospital after a bad fall.
“Not sure how my bruise turned into a medic showing up? I’m fine!! :)” she added a few hours later. She then gave a shout out to one of last year’s finalists, Kirstie Alley: “@kirstiealley I’ve got my work cut out for me. Channeling ya’ mama. xo”
So, how’d the injury happen? It’s not how partner Derek Hough joked, “I kicked her!” Lake explained to photographers herself, “I injured myself yesterday by hitting my heel into my shin … I’m fine.”
Gloria Estefan is releasing her first English-language album since 2003 to be released Sept. 27 as an exclusive partnership with Target.
The album, Little Miss Havana, will be sold via a worldwide distribution and marketing deal with Verve Forecast & Universal Music Group. In the U.S., the physical album will be sold only through Target and the digital album will be sold exclusively by iTunes.
Produced by Pharrell Williams and co-produced by Estefan, the upcoming album will be an up-tempo one which will mark a return to the singer’s dance roots. Known as the “Queen of Latin Pop,” Estefan’s new album will celebrate her musical roots and embrace a new pop sound full of life, love and energy. The release of Little Miss Havana will also coincide with the 25th anniversary of Estefan’s mega hit Conga. The Target deluxe album will include bonus songs, produced by husband Emilio Estefan. The bonus songs will be: On, Medicine, Let’s Get Loud, and WEPA, a DJ R3hab remix featuring Pitbull.

Big Brother 13 September 8, 2011 spoilers and live blogging!
SPOILERS: As we all know, Adam is the current HoH after winning the OTEV Shark Veto. He had nominated Jordan and Porsche for eviction but Porsche won the POV. So, this means Rachel will be the replacement nominee today.
First part of HOH is a Big Brother mixer, the last one standing wins. RACHEL WON PART 1 of HOH COMP!

People reports that Bachelor Pad 2 made couple, Holly Durst and Blake Julian, are already engaged!
If you watch the show, you know their budding romance was very complicated and messy, to say the least, considering Holly’s ex-fiance, Michael Stagliano, was also on the show and pursuing Holly pretty intensely. Blake was also involved with fellow contestant Melissa Schreiber throughout much of the season until she got way too emotionally connected for him.
This week, lots of other entertainment sites reported that Jessica Simpson was going under the knife to have a breast reduction in time for her wedding to Eric Johnson.
“Been getting lots of questions about this alleged breast reduction…not to worry… I LOVE MY BOOBIES! They aren’t going anywhere!”
Before Reese Witherspoon was involved in an accident Wednesday, she talked to Marie Claire about the traumatic time in her life when she underwent a divorce from Ryan Phillippe and had to be a single mother for 5 years.
“I was hard on myself when I got divorced. And until I got remarried, I don’t think I realized how stressed I was. I feel so much relief. I don’t think I recognized how anxious I was about being a single parent. It was really, really stressful. It’s not easy on anybody.”
Reese feels very lucky for having met and then married Hollywood talent agent Jim Toth in March because she was warned that she would never be able to remarry having had two kids.
“You know, somebody close to me once said, “Oh, no man will ever accept your children.’ And I just thought it was the most horrifying thing someone has ever said to me in my entire life,” says Reese.
Nick Jonas is headed to Broadway!
The youngest of the Jonas Brothers will play the main role of J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. He will take over the character currently being portrayed by Daniel Radcliffe and the one Darren Criss will play for a month this winter.
Kelly Clarkson will release her fifth and latest album, Stronger on October 24 but she has already unveiled the cover art and we have it here:
“I ended up naming the album Stronger mainly because the entire album is about empowerment and just strength overall,” Clarkson said about the album. “I love singing songs like that. I love being sassy. I love having attitude. I love raining on boys’ parades!”
