Alec Baldwin learned the hard way not to mess with American Airlines stewardesses.
While stuck on a plane at the gate at LAX, Baldwin was playing Words with Friends on his cell phone.
This didn’t sit well with a stewardess and she had the 30 Rock star thrown off of the plane.
That’s right. She gave Alec the boot.
Alec says that the plane going no where, so, he didn’t feel the need to shut his cell phone off yet.
An angry Alec Tweeted later: “The flight attendant on American reamed me out for playing Words With Friends while we sat at the gate, not moving. No wonder American Air is bankrupt.”
Ouch.
Alec continued, “But, oddly, 30 Rock plays inflight on American. The real way is United.” [That’s not really true either, Alec. A stewardess on a United flight from DC to LA Sunday night yanked a phone out of a flier’s hand and said ‘goodbye’ to the person on the other line. Rather rudely. I saw it, it happened.]
Alec’s rep says added that Alec “loves WWF so much that he was willing to leave a plane for it, but he has already boarded another AA flight.”
“Last flight w American,” Alec later Tweeted.” He continued, “Where retired Catholic school gym teachers from the 1950’s find jobs as flight attendants.”
Double ouch.
