Extra host Mario Lopez is engaged to longtime-girlfriend Courtney Mazza. The 38-year-old Saved By the Bell alum popped the question over New Year’s weekend in Ixtapa, Mexico and strangely enough, revealed the news first to Us and not Extra!

“We took a long walk alone as the sun was setting,” Lopez recalls. “I told Courtney that I wanted the mother of my children to have their last name.”

Courtney, who is mother to Lopez’ two-year old daughter Gia “was silent at first from shock, then she leaped for joy and did a little jete!”

“Besides our daughter’s birth, this was the best moment of my life!” Mazza says.
