The Voice aired a performance and instant elimination show tonight April 16, 2012. This was the quarterfinals which means instant eliminations and of course, America’s vote as to who will be saved and who will go home.
On Team Christina, we had Ashley De La Rosa, Chris Mann, Jesse Campbell and Lindsey Pavao.
LIVE BLOG RECAP:
Raelynn sang “She’s Country” by Jason Aldean tonight. Christina tells her she is a fan and she makes Christina want to sing country. Cee Lo Green thought she performed the best so far. Adam Levine says Blake did something right because this was her best moment. Blake says he is very proud of her.
Jesse Campbell sang “Halo” by Beyonce. Cee Lo tells him he is wonderful! Adam thinks he can sing and do anything and was fantastic. Blake thought it was great performance. Christina says he brought it on an emotional level.
Jordis Unga sang “A Little Bit Stronger” by Sara Evens. Christina says Jordis looked lovely and showed her vulnerable side. Cee Lo calls it a touching performance. Adam says Jordis makes other people feel the emotions and she was amazing. Blake is proud of Jordis for trying this song and she sang it perfectly.
Ashely De La Rosa sang “Foolish Games” by Jewel. Cee Lo enjoyed the performance. For Adam, she was the biggest surprise because he hadn’t yet seen what Christina saw in her. Blake thought it was the smartest decision for Christina to have saved. Christina says she rocked it.
Erin Willett sang “Set Fire To The Rain” by Adele. Christina says Erin sang her heart out. Cee Lo said Erin did a great justice to the song. Adam thought she was great. Blake said it was amazing!
Lindsey Pavao sang “Part Of Me” by Katy Perry. Cee Lo enjoyed the stage theatrics. Adam thought it was great but he heard some pitch issues. Blake also thought it was pitchy but liked it. Christina says Lindsey is very expressive and she wanted her to shine tonight.
Jermaine Paul sang “Against All Odds” by Phil Collins. Christina said it was fantastic and that he is her favorite singer on Blake’s team. Cee Lo said Jermaine looked sharp. Said he put a lot of his own soul into the song. Adam says this is one of those songs that is hard to make your own but Jermaine did it and has a rich beautiful tone. Blake tells Jermaine that he thinks this was a turning point his life.
Chris Mann sang “Viva La Vida” by Cold Play. Adam says Chris looked sharp but should have been more moved. Christina loved that Chris stepped out of his comfort zone.
The instant elimination for Team Blake is Jordis Unga who is eliminated and going home.
