Jennifer says Jessica seems very grown and thought it was a great performance.
Steven is impressed with Jessica. Says she sounded great and did a good job for a kid but said this song is not meant for Jessica.
Randy thought it was a marginal ‘barely OK’ performance because she took on the biggest performance singer there is and the only thing that made it OK was her voice. Jennifer disagrees.
SECOND SONG: You are So Beautiful by Joe Cocker
Judges’ comments:
Steven said Jessica showed America just how beautiful her voice really is.
Jennifer loved it and was almost in tears.
Randy said Jessica has an amazing talent level and that round two went much better for her than round one had. Randy loved it.

FIRST SONG: The Letter by The Box Tops
Judges’ Comments:
Steven said Phillip messed up the melody but got away with it. He also said Phillip strives hard to be original.
Jennifer didn’t even know the song but said Phillip is so compelling to watch that he just makes it all his own.
Randy said Phillip made the song new for him and he loved it.
SECOND SONG: Time Of The Season by The Zombies.
Judges’ comments:
Randy liked the relaxed ballad and said he sang the melody.
Jennifer liked it and thought the verses suit his style.
Steven says he is glad that he chose this song cause he sang it well!
DUETS:
Joshua and Phillip perform You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin by The Righteous Brothers. Steven tells them to embrace each other and get over it. HEELARIOUS! Steven thought they both did a great job on the song and called them a match made in heaven. Jennifer laughs that they were nervous to sing this song together because the original was sung by two men. Randy said once they let go, the song came alive.
Skylar, Hollie and Jessica sang Higher and Higher by Jackie Wilson.
Randy needs to have his hearing checked. Sanchez was a lot better when compared to Tina Turner than is boy Ledet who wasn’t even close to Temptation David Ruffin.
I think Josh shall be elimated!! not for Idol winner!
Skyler should win Idol! she has it all!
judges don’t have it right!do not like Ledet
