Kelly Clarkson is engaged! The American Idol alum tweeted the happy news
today. “I’M ENGAGED!!!!! I wanted y’all to know!! Happiest night of my life last
night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever :)”

Clarkson is set to walk down the isle with Brandon Blackstock, a Nashville based talent manager who represents artists such as country music super star Blake Shelton. Clarkson’s new fiancée is also the son of her manager Narvel Blackstock who is married to longtime Clarkson collaborator and friend Reba McEntire.

Kelly and Brandon have been dating for almost a year and recently purchased a home in Nashville together. No wedding date has been set, but earlier this year Clarkson quipped to
Ellen DeGeneres “we will totally probably elope.”

The engagement caps off what has been a exciting December for Clarkson, earlier this month she received three Grammy nominations for her song “Stronger”. The song is up for record of the
year, best pop solo performance as well as best pop vocal album.
