The X Factor USA will air its final results show of the second season tonight December 20, 2012. Each of the top 3 finalists sang three songs each last night. You can watch all of last night’s performances, here!

-9:24 PM LOTS of fillers. Mario Lopez talks to the judges and asks about their favorite moment of the season. LA said for him, his fave moment is when Tate walked on the stage during auditions with the cowboy hat and Demi asked what music he sang and he said rap. Britney says the whole experience was amazing. Demi also said she can’t pick just one moment. She says sitting at the judges’ table next to Simon has been awesome. Simon says he’s had a blast working with the groups and having had one make it to the end was his best feeling.
-Khloe is shown backstage with Vino who says Carly’s like his sister and Tate was his roommate. Diamond said she’s so proud of and loves her BFF Carly. Emblem 3 said they want all the contestants to rent a cabin together and go snowboarding.

I think it was was uncool for Carly to sing ‘Hallelujah’ after The Voice used it as their tribute for the Sandy Hook tragedy. Tate and Carly both have great talent, theyre just different. Fifth Harmony has a few individual beautiful voices but I just don’t see them selling music. I don’t see a huge market for Carly to sustain long term either. Tate is the all round package for entertainment, stage presence, variety. He will sell records immediately. But, good luck to them all.
Britney probably chose the song for her. dont blame the teen. anyway, i doubt she chose the song that late in the week. give her a break. she sang it beautifully.
Tate peaked at the very beginning. Carly came strong in the middle, and Fifth Harmony is totally peaking at the end. Tate will win but I think a group should win for a change.
I do not want Tate Stevens to win. He is always saying he needs to win. He can’t work unless he wins. He said I can’t go home to my parents. The best should win and that is Carly
Fifth Harmony has a had strong performances throughout the entire season. They didn’t make top spots because they lacked character and therefore, a strong fan base since the start. Now that they’ve been able to “spread there wings” the spotlight has been on them, and have clearly gained enough support for the finals. They should win because they are fresh and different. Carly is so talented but will always stay in the theater, vocal powerhouse market. Tate will be successful, but in the country music market. Fifth Harmony, if they win, will be better known because theyll be in the pop genre, but they are versatile enough to sing ballads, and vocals too. Just think about it Katy Perry nor Ellie Goulding is as good as say broadway star Indina Menzel or as unique country singers like Lady Antebellum, but they are better known than the others because of their genre. Same case for the three finalists. Fifth Harmony, best of luck!
Tate Stevens all the way. Just close your eyes and listen… his are the only records I would purchase. And, if anyone out there doesn’t understand how popular country music is right now… well, wake up.

It turns out that Tate Stevens won America’s hearts and he was rewarded with the $5 million prize. I was shocked that he won and not because he doesn’t deserve it but everyone was voting for Carly or so it seemed. My DISH co-worker was surprised that Carly came in second just because she has been consistent during the entire competition. That’s the one thing about competitions where America votes: nothing is certain and anyone can be eliminated at any time. I’ve been recording the show all season long on my DISH Hopper and the great part is that everyone else in the house can still watch their favorite TV shows at the same time.
