Some women are athletes’ good luck charms; some are their Achilles’ heels. The Dallas Cowboys have already suffered through the worst kind of the latter type of women; here is hoping that they now have a good luck charm hanging on to one of their star players.

As a huge Cowboys fan, I am rooting for the new romance between Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver, Miles Austin, and Kim Kardashian to move away from tabloid gossip and fully blossom into a long-lasting relationship. In fact, if the couple decides to get married tomorrow, they have my full-hearted blessing.

As Cowboys fans, we had to helplessly sit back and endure the curse on the Cowboys that seemed to be cast by the Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson pairing. During their courtship, Tony’s stats progressively worsened. On any given Sunday, I could tell if Jessica were in the stands watching Tony based solely on the number of fumbles and INT’s Tony had; if she were there, it was bad news for Tony and Cowboys fans all over the world.

But I think Kim, and the Kardashian sisters in general, have the opposite effect on their athlete paramours. Let’s examine the relationship between Kim and her former boyfriend, Reggie Bush of the defending Super Bowl Champions, New Orleans Saints. Defending Champs. Need I say more? And then there is Kim’s younger sister, Khloe. She married Lamar Odom a month after they met in November 2009 and many were worried that the coupling of the two would end Lamar’s career. Well, that didn’t happen and Lamar just won a back-to-back NBA championship with the Los Angeles Lakers.

So, I am telling you, I am hoping for quick nuptials between Kim and Miles. Football gets into full gear in September. How ’bout them August weddings, Kim?
