Rumor has it that the ex-Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger is working on his first post-public office movie role!
The Hollywood Reporter states that Schwarzenegger may be in early negotiations for a role on the upcoming Lionsgate film, The Last Stand.
If this casting comes to fruition, the storyline would be right up Schwarzenegger’s alley both politically and acting wise: It’s about a fugitive drug lord and a small town sheriff (played by Schwarzenegger) who will attempt to bring him to justice.
I hope things work out because I can’t wait to see Arnie on the big screen again!
Speaking of the Governator, he was at The Grove in Los Angeles Thursday for lunch with the owner of The Grove, Rick Caruso.
After lunch, the power duo surprised Mario Lopez on the set of Extra. Schwarzenegger confirmed a fun project he is currently working on: A comic book series called, what else, The Governator. He told Lopez: “We will have the comic books come out at the end of this year in print and digital. Then there will be the TV series, 52 episodes. Then later on, there will be the 3D film, which will probably be in the spring of 2013.”
Sounds like Schwarzenegger is wasting no time after completion of his time in public office.
