Imagine being a kid and your dad being Johnny Depp – how friggin’ cool would that be? Captain Jack Sparrow himself! But apparently, that’s not as cool as having Iron Man as your father.
Depp recently sat down with Extra to chat up his upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and out came the news that his kids idolize Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man more than they do Depp’s role as Jack Sparrow.
Depp said, “Bob Downey, we’ve known one another for a million years. He and his wife came over for dinner and my son just couldn’t believe that he was sitting next to Iron Man, so I saw Captain Jack leave my son’s eyes and Iron Man was the ticket.”
Sad, but cute. For those of us that can’t wait for the swashbuckler to hit the screens, we don’t have to wait much longer! Pirates 4 hits theaters May 20! (BIG BIG smile on my face.) So excited, I’m gonna throw two more Depp pics below.
