Despite bad reviews, Cars 2 delivered big at the box office, grossing $68 million in its opening weekend.
The surprise of the weekend was the low budget Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz flick, Bad Teacher, which only cost $20 million to make, but which brought in $31 million in its opening weekend. The raunchy comedy raked in another $12.9 million internationally for a total global opening of $49.3 million.
Due to unfavorable word of mouth, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds‘ Green Lantern dropped almost 70% in ticket sales compared to its opening weekend last week, grossing only $18.4 million.
