Bachelor Pad 2, third episode, aired August 22, 2011. Kasey Kahl and Vienna Girardi continued their quest to vote out Vienna’s ex, Jake Pavelka. And, they may have finally succeeded. Keep reading to see whether Kasey or Jake got the boot Monday night.
MELISSA AND BLAKE BLOW UP
The night started where we left off last week, with Melissa Schreiber and Blake Julian going at it after Melissa found Blake flirting with Holly Durst. Blake realized that Melissa carries a lot of weight with the women and tried to make up with her. Melissa told him and any women who would listen that she can’t believe Blake would flirt with Holly when the two of them made out all night. Blake felt he is in hot water in the house but said his saving grace is that Jake is still in the house and he is a much larger target.
IMMUNITY COMPETITION
This week’s challenge was a synchronized swimming contest and the house guests got divided into two teams of male and female. Each team had two hours to learn their routine. The women were a hot mess. They couldn’t even all dive! The men actually looked good and were enjoying their practices.
The ladies wore flowered bikinis and the men wore Speedos. Last season’s winners, Natalie Getz and Dave Good, returned as guest judges and got to choose one winner from each of the men’s and women’s teams. The woman were terrible. Erica was floating around to her own music. Most of the women were out of sync. Only Vienna and Michelle Money stood out as the best dancers.
The men did much better than the women and Holly even said the men made it look like it was second nature to them. Michelle won for the girls, Michael Stagliano won for the guys. Vienna felt cheated because she wanted to get a date with Kasey and keep him safe.
THE DATES
Date #1: Michelle chose Kasey, Graham Bunn, and Blake for a date to a vineyard. Vienna and Melissa did not appreciate Michelle’s choices. Kasey was excited to get out of the house and not worry about a thing for a change. During their date, Michelle first took Blake aside and said because Melissa is hurt, Blake looks bad and he needs to fix things between them if he wants to stay.

Kasey was excited to get out of the house and not worry about a thing for a change. During their date, Michelle first took Blake aside and said because Melissa is hurt, Blake looks bad and he needs to fix things between them if he wants to stay.
Michelle, who has a crush on Graham, then took him aside and told him she’s interested in him. Graham who is fresh off of a bad breakup seemed a bit closed off, though the two did make out a bit and enough so that he ended up winning the immunity rose.
Date #2: Michael chose Vienna, Holly (Of course even though she was hoping not to be asked), and Ella Nolan on a horseback riding expedition. Vienna kept complaining about the weather and having to wear a helmet while horseback riding.
Michael and Holly spoke again in private and she asked him if he misses her and he said yes. She said she constantly wants to touch him and he said she looked beautiful. They two just hugged and it was sweet and sad and heartbreaking that these two can’t make it work despite so much obvious love for each other.
No shock that Holly got the rose again and the other two women rode their horses down the hill alone. As Holly and Michael sat by each other a top the hill, Bret Michael’s tour bus rolled up and the rocker stepped out and invited them on board. On the bus, Bret gave the ex-couple some relationship advice and serenaded them with “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn.” Holly later said her whole life flashed before her eyes during the song and she was happy that she got to spend that special moment with Michael.
BLAKE AND MELISSA….AND JAKE!
Blake took Michelle’s advice and made up with Melissa. Realizing he has $250K at stake, he “pretended” at first that he was interested in Melissa again. She told him she has a crush on him and the two decided to partner up again. After Melissa’s breakdown later involving Erica (see below), Blake told Melissa he does not want any romantic ties with Melissa. Melissa ran off crying into the arms of Jake and he comforted her. Jake begged Melissa to stay because he needed her vote to get Kasey out.
JAKE GOES ON THE OFFENSIVE
Jake tried to convince William Holman and Blake that they need to get rid of Kasey to have a shot at $250K.
ERICA AND JAKE HOOK UP
Jake started speaking to Erica and she told him that the couples have to be split up and that she’s tired of Kasey and Vienna running the show. As she was talking, Erica was feeling up Jake’s arm which must be awkward to watch now because she is good friends with Kasey and Vienna outside of the house. Jake started making out with Erica and she later said that Jake is a great kisser (Watch my interview with Erica here about Jake’s kissing abilities! And her friendship with Kasey and Vienna) and that she has good lips because she maintains them with injections every six months.
ERICA GOES AGAINST MELISSA
Fast forward to later when Erica found Jake and Melissa in the hot tub and she eavesdropped on them. She felt Melissa was buttering him up and talking strategy so Erica decided Melissa should go home. Erica told Vienna about Melissa cozying up to Jake, without coming clean that she was exchanging spit with him herself just a little while ago, and of course Vienna saw red. Erica also eavesdropped on Melissa and Michael speaking.
Melissa then confronted Erica in front of Michelle and then Kasey asking why Erica is telling everyone she is conspiring with Jake when it’s Erica herself who is doing that. Even though Melissa was the one telling the truth, she was so emotional that she came across as the liar. Erica enjoyed watching Melissa’s breakdown because she knew that took the eviction target off of her own back and onto Melissa’s.
KASEY AND VIENNA CELEBRATE ANNIVERSARY – AND THEN FIGHT
To celebrate their six-month anniversary, Kasey got Vienna a promise ring. When he showed her the box, she said, “I don’t want it to be an engagement ring!” When she found out it was a promise ring instead, she giggled with joy. Kasey felt bad for having been bashed again and not getting back the same amount of love that he puts into the relationship.
Kasey later got even more pissed at Vienna for being too nice to Jake. TOO NICE? Is he watching what we are watching? He confronted Vienna and as usual, she she started crying and shrieking in her own defense. “I don’t even want to be here! You swore you would protect me and all you do is get mad me!” Kasey later confided to the camera and to all of America, “She’s more of a fame whore than Jake is.” It’s couples like this that make me thankful I am happily single.
ROSE CEREMONY ELIMINATION: KASEY VERSUS JAKE!
Only one man was eliminated and voted off tonight and all women were safe. We saw Vienna, Graham, Melissa, Holly, Michael, and Kasey voting for Jake to leave. Jake needed 7 votes against Kasey to stay. Kirk DeWindt said his vote is a toss up and Erica worked him over to get his vote for Jake to stay. Erica made up with Melissa just to get a vote for Jake. Melissa said she would vote out Kasey cause he has no conscience. Jake, Erica, Blake, Melissa, and Ella were seen voting for Kasey to leave. We can only assume William voted against Kasey as well since he is the one that told Kasey he is going home (see below). So, it all came down to Kirk’s vote as the swing vote.
While the voting was going on, William told Kasey that Kasey stands between everyone and $250K so he is going home tonight. Kasey started confronting everyone to see who they were voting for. He said behind Erica’s back (who is a close friend of his) that she has low intelligence and is a back stabber. He called Jake conniving for doing to him what he has been doing to Jake since day one in the house.
After all the drama, guess who was voted off? Was Jake voted off or Kasey? The final rose came down to Kasey and Jake and it was the closest vote ever in Bachelor Pad. Chris said the next name he calls is safe. And he called…Kasey. So Kasey was safe and it was Jake Pavelka who got eliminated August 22, 2011. I am not sure why they did not give Jake a goodbye. Perhaps what went down after Jake was eliminated is not proper for television. Only the people on the set know that for sure…though now, it will be my mission to find out! Chris Harrison Tweeted Monday: “Don’t lose your mind when you see this ending!!!” And later, Tune in to next weeks #BachelorPad to see what happened after I said ‘Kasey’!!!”

Of course we ended the show with another visit from the masked man from Ashley Hebert’s Bachelorette season doing avsolo synchronized swimming.
I hope that Jake can finally get Vienna out of his life. I think she is still in love with Jake and is trying to ruin him. Personally I can’t stand her, she is double trouble and Kasey is something else!Vienna is playing Kasey, I think he is soon to discover that, Vienna with her fake boobs is just a troubled person she pouts like a baby. I think she has played this Jake thing long enough. Get rid of both fake Vienna and Kasey.
Jake may be unpopular, but he is a good looking, smart and accomplished guy. Just really not ready for any COMMITMENT.
Vienna is an unattractive psycho babe. The biggest disappoint in her reltionship with Jake, was his selecting her in the first place. What the heck was he thinking. Hot sex does not equate to real love.
As for Kasey, would love to know what a psychologist’s take on him would be. He and Vienna deserve one another.
If it is true that Jake is voted off, that will be the last episode that I watch! While I’m not the biggest “Jake” fan, the thought of this show being run by that nitwit, whiney blond and her “marvin the martian” voice boyfriend is more than I can take. I would think that ABC would have better taste than that!!!!!!!!!!!
Hilarious anonymous!
