Jennifer Lopez may have been engaged four times and married and (almost) divorced three times, but no way is the 42-year old mother of twins giving up hope on finding love.
The hopeless romantic covers the new issue of Vanity Fair, and inside, she sounds off on her future love life and past failures.
“I believe in love,” J-Lo says. “I remain an eternal optimist when it comes to love…It’s still my biggest dream.”
On the topic of her most recent divorce from Marc Anthony, JLo says, “Sometimes we don’t realize that we are compromising ourselves. To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself… if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me.”
Lopez says she will “always respect” Anthony as a professional. And because the two of them share two kids together, she says he will “always be in our lives,” holding a “special place” in her heart. Yet, that doesn’t mean that Lopez is not looking forward to her future. “I am positive, determined to move forward with my life, bring up my babies, and do the best job I can as a mother, entertainer, and person.”
