Vampires and werewolves united over the weekend to draw teenage girls and soccer moms alike to the theaters, resulting in ticket sales of $139.5 million for Breaking Dawn Part 1.
This figure was enough to land the fourth installment in the Twilight franchise with the fifth most lucrative opening weekend in Hollywood history.
Interestingly enough, the movie got beat by 2004’s New Moon by $4 million. Worldwide, Breaking Dawn Part 1 made a whopping $283.5 million.
