Jack Wagner of General Hospital and Melrose Place fame recently lived out a real-life soap opera moment of his own: His long-lost daughter of 23 years found him while he and fellow General Hospital alum, Rick Springfield, were aboard a cruise liner performing a series of concerts for fans.

Wagner was ready to take the stage on one of the nights in Boca Raton, Florida when a 23-year-old young woman named Kerry came up to him before the show and told him that she is his daughter.

Wagner believed the girl when she showed him a picture of an old flame of Wagner’s who is her mother and he invited Kerry to another concert the following day. While performing, Wagner told the audience “Some of you have seen me, on the boat or around, I’ve been walking around with this beautiful girl and my daughter found me.” As the crowd cheered, he invited her on stage and she immediately started to cry as her dad pulled her close and said he was proud of the courage it took for her to track him down.

Kerry is said to have grown up in New York City with foster parents after her mom put her up for adoption.
