Adam Lambert appeared on Ellen today to promote his upcoming album, Trespassing. Ellen made sure she talked about the headlines that Adam and his boyfriend Sauli Koskinen created during a recent trip to Finland.

Lambert was only too happy to set the record straight. He explained to Ellen exactly what went down with his boyfriend, who was in the audience to support him.

“We had too much to drink. We screwed up,” Adam said of the fight which led to his arrest by Finnish police. He said the whole event was “foolish, childish messiness.” Adam added, “I was a little irresponsible and I think what I learned from the experience was that I owe it to myself, to my loved ones, and to my fans to be a little more adult and pull it together.” He and Sauli have since resolved to “clean up the act.” Adam explained, “We’re juicing, we’re exercising.”

Adam continued, “being in a gay relationship in the public eye is hard enough” without stirring up unnecessary drama.
